My experience:

Final Interview = 12 June
Approval In Progress = 24 June
You will be contacted = 29 June
Golden Call = 4 July

Now im waiting for the email to do my medical...

Hi HappyFlyingGirl, :)I had my FI on May 31 and it has been 5 weeks now. :zzz:No news and my status hasn't changed. But I'm still hoping, one week left.:ugh: The weird thing is that nobody from my group in NYC has received GC.
At least your status changed, I think that is a good sign. :ok:
I also said that I will be available a little-bit later, but shouldn't they tell us the decision anyway?

BarbieY, when did you have your FI? I see that you are leaving on Sep. 12th.
I wanted to join in September too, so I'm wondering did it take them longer than 6 weeks to contact you? Lol:rolleyes:

I hope you can help me out. First, I want to know what's that grooming email you talk about so much!! I got an email about a week ago, but it didn't say "grooming" anywhere. It was to declare i don't have any visible tatoos, are we talking about the same thing?

Yesterday when trying to log in to check my status (which changed when I received that email to "approval in progress") the thing wouldn't let me in and I started getting that "you'll be contacted at the earliest" message. I know a lot of people get that message just before they get the GC so Im quiet excited and happy, now my question is: I'm from Mexico, traveling in New Zealand at the moment. I attended the AD and FI in Auckland. In case they call me and give me a DOJ I would like to go back home to spend some time with my family before I go to Dubai since I've been away for quiet a long time. Does anyone know if its possible to push the DOJ a little bit? and if I can actually get to Dubai from a different country than the one I applied from? Are they flexible with this sort of stuff?

well from what i read you can ask them to change your DOJ, so it shouldnt be a problem :)

however about your other query am sorry but i don't have any idea about it..maybe someone who is already working could help you or try contacting your coordinator and ask if its possible...from what i read emirates is quite flexible :)

no i didnt get an invitation yet.

the person i spoke to from the appointed agency told me that there are tones and tones of applicants from Cairo and that you need to apply for the AD on the EK website as soon as possible.

About the one that was in June i didnt hear anything about it.
It was postponed and my status on the website never changed from applied. :(

Yesterday i got an email from EK asking me to send my casual pics again as soon as possible.Iv just done that so now im wondering whether to take that as a good sign:hmm:.Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone waiting:O

OK, for my part, I did my FI on june4th. And a big nothing!!!
After reading all of thoses post every single day, I am pretty sure I am not on my way to Dubai.But.Who know's! But anyway, I am sendind this post to all of those that feel like me:bored:Not understanding why not me??? anyway.
This FI made me dreams for 5 weeks about a new life, It was like the beggining of a love story you know?Now, for all those like me, dont give up, cheer up! something else is waiting for you.!BE HAPPY life is too short!:O:O:O:ok:
