Not so sure where to place this thread, but I would like to know by personal experience how is it like to be a gay cabin crew out there in dubai, I know you have to fly low and be discret, but is it too much of a risck?

Hi, I live with an SFS and she wants to know where she can get a form of recommendation. She said she did it for someone a few years ago but thought they stopped doing it but if you can let me know which form she must ask for and where, then she'd fill one in for me...

Well it's as simple as that, if you get caught by the authorities you go to jail. Being gay is illegal. So you just have to stay low and be careful not to show your sexuality anyhow.
(this is not a personal experience, just sharing thoughts from common sense).

Hello guys, I have a question, I got the golden call, and have date of joining, however my girlfriend, who did her assessment in Copenhagen, and all that batch had to send missing photos by post to London, just wondering is this a new change or something, my final interview was just a month earlier, and i had to send all pictures to the ek email ...

Maybe they lost the pictures ! The recruiters are humans too :)

I have said it before, Dubai is as gay as they come ! Don't worry about it, I know a lot of christian countries that are more closeted then Dubai !

I have read the previous pages of the thread as well, the same happened to others. i cant log in to my account and it says your recruitment officer will contact you at the earliest. as you can understand my anxiety, is there a possibility that they can contact me negatively or is it i am in.

Thank you to everyone for their kind words.

I'm currently still busy with medicals and it has been a nightmare and i only have till 28th to complete them.

I has scoliosis present: :sad:

CHEST X-RAY REVEALED:
-clear both lung fields and C/P angles
-Normal cardiac size and configuration
-Minimal insignificant dorsal curve with Cobb angel about 12 degrees

Can someone please advise me on what Emirates will except?
Should I be freaking out or should I get a second opinion?

I dont understand as I did not have this last year??????

Hey guys. I have just logged into my account and while it was "applied" now it has become "Approval In Progress". I have been checking the forum to find an idea about this; and now I am asking you guys. Do you think this is a good sign or just a regular procedure? I appreciate your answers.

As we are not doctors, we can only guess. Normally, when your family doctor gives you the results, if there is something abnormal, s/he should tell you. Just be patient and wait on your recruiter's feedback.

Approval in progress is just a normal procedure, but at least it's a good sign because you haven't been cut off since you didn't receive a rejection email.

They gave you a document after your AD (FI invitation) and it says you can email them after 6 weeks. Some people had to wait more than six weeks. Should you wish to call them, you must have the number on the same document.

Hey guys. I know many people have asked the same but; I just want to be sure you know. I cannot log into my account and it just says something like "you will be contacted by your recruitment coordinator at the earliest". When can they call me do you think? Im getting kinda nervous as I look at my phone like twice in one minute. Thank you guys.

during the assesment day,you are asked to wait a certain period of time,depending on what stage you left at,before reapplying.
I would like to know,how serious are they about this and what do they check to confirm if you did?
I have heard that if you change your email address you can reapply but i'd like to confirm.

First of all - they never provide you with neither good, nor bad - any feedback of your FI/AD/OD (exept for the English test - that's the only part you could get some feedback for)...
And second - as I said before - I've been waiting for nearly 3 MONTHS before I got my GC :)
