Did anyone get an email yesterday? Saying the they won’t be needing new crew at the moment because of other factors as they expected to hire new crew (language speakers) this year and the GS would going to be approx around 2025.
Apparently because of the crew coming back and other internal applicants they prioritised.
My friend who is an internal applicant and a language speaker got her golden call 2 days ago and will start around June.
Any updates from others? Thank you

I went to the AD on February as a language speaker and received the same email yesterday as well.
When was your friend’s AD ?

As well as the Jetconnect recruitment, I just found an ad for QF UK based in London. Just presenting options and it might explain why none of us are getting anywhere? If you are eligible to live and work in UK it might be quicker than QCCA. Also Australians can be employed by Jetconnect and be based in NZ.

Hi, has anyone applied for QF based in London? And if so, have you heard back yet? I applied, did the online interview, and heard nothing since. Curious to see if anyone is in the same position, or has an idea how long the recruitment processes typically take? Thanks.

Hello flyingfox777
Thank you for checking in with us all. Not one today but no doubt will get one over the coming days. Was it the same message as previously?
Trying to hang in there but have had to compartmentalise it a bit and get on with life- it was too hard to keep second guessing.
Hang in there and thanks again for keeping the thread ticking along.

yes ive been doing that too and just moving along with life and wherever it takes us takes us.
yes quite the same email as usual… basically highlighted that future ground schools are yet to be determined and subject to workplace planning and operational requirements and that they’ll be in touch once they receive further updates
just surprised as usually we get emails spaced out every 6 months so it coming about a month and a bit after the previous email is quite new haha. so used to the long communication now so it feels funny!

Dear colleagues, has anyone had an update from the recruitment team?
my profile says inactive and complete, does that mean they dismissed me completely or they might still email us with further dates ?
thank you

Hello,
From what I see it is mainly internal transfers, crew who took redundancy during COVID returning etc.
They have done recent recruitment drives in London and NZ. These seem to be given priority? Then Jetconnect crew can transfer internally. Chatting to some of them recently they are a lovely bunch.
I suspect the above candidates and crew are filling vacancies that would normally be filled by external QF long haul external recruitment I.e. those on this forum.
Other than usual emails regarding 2025, nothing further from TA.
Last 2 A380s should return within a year but who knows really?
The following link covers other crew who aren't Australian based:
https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visa...-authority-942
Also the two wet-leased Finnair aircraft are using overseas crew. Meant to becoming dry-leased ( i.e. QF crew) in a year or so but again who knows?

Hi future QF crew, I've been back flying for more than a year and I'm absolutely loving it (so keep your heads up!). We are about to bid again and the correspondence from the company is: still offering crew leave and part-time positions and advising that our hours may be low. It appears that some more A380's have come back on line as we will start operating them to Johannesburg in a month. There is one initial school coming online in the next few weeks and they are transfers from JQ. We have not been advised that there will be future training schools at this stage but this is aviation so may change at the drop of a hat. Keep going with what you're doing......I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do when you start flying.
