Hey at my AD they said training would be 27 Feb too. Does this mean if I pass my medical I will be in the same one as you? Sounds like it would be a big class with people from my AD and yours and Clay111's too

New to the forum. I'm going to a RD Wednesday for Canberra base (our current home city).

Thanks so much to everyone who has posted here as it is great to hear about every one's story.

I'm a 'mature' aged Applicant and wonder whether I'm wasting my time but hoping that life experience counts?

I'd assume they try to give everyone an equal opportunity. Experience that can transfer to the job matters a lot. As someone with a uni degree, they couldn't care less about it (which I was totally expecting anyway). What they want to know is if there is anything that might tie you down. There may sometimes be nights where you have to sty away from home so if you have a family that can be looked after when you're away/don't have a family that's good enough.

Clay111 one reference was completed 3 days ago and one hasnt got an email although Virgin said they had sent it. I emailed them giving them his email again and that he is waiting for it and aware to check for it etc
Hopefully will be done this week so I can get on with medical and swimming.

I think they are busy organising the GS for late Feb so I'm sure you will hear from them soon

Started GS here in MEL on 10 JAN. So far so good! Well worth the wait for those of you still going through the process.

Im not sure yet if Im in the 27 Feb GS- my status still is reference check. Both been done last week so waiting for them to contact me. Do they contact me and ask me to be in GS and then arrange medical or maybe just put me in Talent Pool? Im hoping not in Talent pool as at AD they said our GS if successful is Feb 27 - no mention of a talent pool
