FYI, I'm internal.... the only deference between internal and external is that internal don't have to do security clearance... That's my experience.. Tho I'm ground crew atm. Do not know flying crew can wavier the medical or not...

Thats good news congrats - Best of my knowledge, is that internal ( cabin crew) that we dont do security checks and medical as we are already capable to fly.
I'm guessing with ground crew to cabin - you would be joining the externals as you haven't actually flown yet, so you do the entire 7 weeks or so.
For current cabin crew ( qf mainline trained) its a simple conversion which would entail a initial a380 + 787 eps and door training, plus service training update - total duration 10 days.
****I'm internal cabin crew with workday status " Interview" ****

At reference checks....
Hello all !
Congrats to the people joining GSs next month so exciting!
My question is , has anyone from SYD ADs in June 17 gone to security yet? I know of 3 people who have and a lot of us who haven't... it's difficult to get references from VA management ( their policy says they can't reference ) possibility I'll be unsuccessful due to that ?

Hi there!
I couldn't get a reference either as Emirates have the same policy. I emailed the recruiters and reminded them of this and provided two others from different employers. I'm only at medical stage now but I do believe that they'll be understanding as they are aware of these policies. Goodluck
