I've regularly called the talent team here and there to have a conversation and try get an idea of whats happening. They aren't certain and able to give a definite answer but she mentioned maybe around May. I've just read the most recent post at the end of this thread, and a current Qantas FA has written in saying that there will be delays because of corona-virus (read below). I'll probably call and double check this!
I was May AD and have been on hold for Melb GS since August. Received an email last month advising no more GS this year due to CV-19 situation and I would be released from hold list. Did anyone else get this email?

No I was on hold for next Melb GS but thatís not going to happen this year. My 12 months since AD is up this month so Iíll drop off before things get up and running again. Fingers crossed they may pull up old hold lists to fast track recruitment when things start moving again. It makes no sense to go through all the time and expense of recruiting when they have so many on hold and ready to train. But I guess time will tell.

This doesnít make sense?

What exactly are you trying to say with this comment cause it doesnít make much sense. I would guess the lack of knowledge would be due to not actually being an employee QF.. right?

FYI mainline and world refer to aircraft fleet. QAL and QCCA are contracts and refer to employee conditions.

So if in fact it was QAL you were referencing. Thereís only one reason they have there conditions and thatís because they fought for them over decades.

end of story

p.s Iím not QAL in-fact Iím QCCA ... youíre welcome!

People. do not choose casual jobs they do it to survive because we have created a world of those who have and those who have not.
