@Flyguy87, I've never heard about introducing any cover letter at any stage of the process?!
As for the official photos, it's kind of difficult to get the info. I read once that you need to keep your feet parallel to each other and leave a slight space in between your legs, if that does make sense lol! BUT that's what I read on another thread so I insist on the fact that I can't confirm the info. Does anyone know here...? That would be helpful
No need to get previous aviation references, as far as I know
Aww too bad @EKboi, were there a lot of people out there?
And was the reach test made on that day you went or not?
I'm not sure I get it: how far did you go last time? You went through to the FI, right, then got the rejection mail? But in that case, isn't it one whole year that you need to wait before being able to re attend an OD with EK?

@flying cup cake
In January this year I didn't apply on line just went in and yes they did reach test and hand in my resume. Then I got a rejection letter.
I applied again for today march 10 and I got an invite. The same thing, did reach test, had to read about the uniform policy.
When I sat down she asked me few times if I'm sure that I came this January and when I said yes she said I need to wait 6 months in between .
My reply was " I didn't know, if that was just for open day or just Assesment day. I only got this far as well last time, therefore I want to know the proper rules"
She told me that I still need to wait 6 months. She didn't register me today because she told me "you need to come back in June". If she would register me now, the I would have to wait 6 months from today.
So that's my story so far lol.

@EKboi:
Oh well I thought you were allowed to re attend any OD asap as far as you haven't been further than the handling resume stage... Weird. If you did pass the OD but failed at the AD, then you would need to wait 6 months (and 1 year if you do not pass the FI), from what I know.....
How many people were there, approximately?
Thanks

ellenjesh and tabbys
I am also asking myself the same question ellenjesh is there an AD or OD coming up in Nairobi that we don't know of. Ellenjesh time varies on when they call someone up for a preliminary selection but according to what I have been reading on this forum and based on my friends from EK, It is best you apply when they post that they are coming to Nairobi on their official website which am guessing might be around May-Aug(just a guess)

Yes, am also wondering because that's always the trend ie they have to post it on their site. Unless it's a walk in and that only happens in Dubai not Kenya. I thought they might recruit in April but.....let's hope for June.

EKBoi that is a classic example of why you should wait the 6 months... slightly embarrassing. If there is only a small number of applicants (e.g 25) then it automatically becomes an AD as it would be pointless to hold an OD for so few. They should have communicated this. Good luck in June.

about medical tests
Hello,
Can someone please help me with some answers concerning the medical tests?
The hepatitis test should contain all forms of hepatitis, A, B and C?And what happens if someone is tested positive for C?
Thank you very much!

EK or QR?
Greetings dear EK wannabe's...
Good luck to you all and hope you find your career breaks in EK.
And now, could anyone working for EK please confirm if there is an existing no poach policy between EK and QR in place and if so, what is the duration?
Thank you!

@ FRST
@ haka07 and Faaris thank you all for answers and encouragement.
@Frst what do you mean by "proof that your performance were in top" ??
I don't have that type of document, all I have is job certificates and my contract...

Could someone clarify this for me please:
If you go to an Open day with 130 applicants-so its just an open day, and dont get the phone call to come back the next day to the assesment and all you did was the reach test and resume drop do you need to wait the 6mths?
I didnt recieve anything I was rejected at all

That's exact. You have to wait 6 months to go to another Open or Assessment day even if you didn't receive a rejection letter.
A friend of mine who didn't pass the OD, and didn't receive a rejection letter went to another OD the following month and she was asked if she attended an od for the last 6 months she said yes and the lady asked her not to come back before 6 months.

Brisbane OD
Hi Guys
I went to the 10th March Brisbane OD and I made it to the final interview (last FI for me was back in 2009). Was wondering if anyone here made it to the FI in Brisbane as well?
I know a lot of you guys are very curious about the day. So here's a short snippet of what actually happened:
About 80 people turned up to the OD and the recruiters were doing their normal routine; introducing themselves, talked about cabin crew lifestyle and about the airline and the company. After that they asked us to go to the next room one by one where they will be doing their short interview (about half a minute). After they have gone through 80 people they gave us a slip which determines if you are successful or not. Fortunately I was one of the lucky ones who made it through.
Secondly they got us into groups and asked us to work as a team. At this point it is where you should shine and work as a team player and not be dominating. They have 2 rounds of group activities, I was lucky enough to make it through to the final stage. Just on a side note, the people who talked a lot, and wanted their voice heard were the ones who didn't make it through to the final stage. I know a lot of people here are very nervous about this particular stage but in fact it is one of the easiest. All you have to do is show that you are listening, positive body language and say a few things like "Yes I agree" or "That is great idea". If the dominating person isn't letting you talk, then perhaps you could say "Sorry to interrupt, but I just want to say...". After that, let them talk as much as they want.
We were 80 people, to 21 in the group stage then cut down to the final 14. The 3 other friends who I made friends with immediately in the beginning all made it through so it was very special for the 4 of us. I just had my final interview yesterday and the recruiter asked me various questions relating to my customer service experience.
And now... the waiting game begins!
God bless and stay positive to the ones who are waiting!
