Dental X-ray

Hello to you all, once again!!
I have a problem , so if anyone can help, please do so
Well, the thing is that my dentist told me to do the X-ray first, then she filled "dental assessment after the X-rays", and after that she began with the treatment... I mean, who was I to question her decisions... But now I see that everybody here on the forum, first had their teeth done, and then took the X-ray, which sounds quite logic to me... Now I have more fillings than she wrote in the report , and don't know what to do... Should I repeat the X-ray (not recommended by dentists without justified medical reason, only once in three years...) and have the new dental report done or ??? My DOJ is only a week ahead... Some advice please

Mari thank you very much for the information,I find this forum very helpful and I've seen that you always try to help, thank you for that! Also for encouraging me with the braces,I'm very focused on solving this problem, being a cabin crew is one of the reasons I wanted to get it done you know...I've flown for a low cost company here and it wasn't a problem but for me it is.In any case if for the moment is not acceptable I won't give up and I'll try again later when I take them off because I know this is my passion.
I am aware of the whole situation regarding Bucharest and the thing that annoys me is that you have to go through a preselection made by a recruitment agency here just to get to an AD.This is why I'm planning to go to Belgrad on the 18th of June,at least it makes me feel more confident actually meeting people from Emirates.

Thank you, Mari, very much
They accepted my medicals a month ago, but I have just recently found out that everybody else did the X-Rays after they had their treatment completed!! My dentist first filled out the report according to the X-Ray, and then did my teeth!? Now I'm freaking out. I don't want to expose my self to any unnecessary radiation, but I have also heard that doing it (an X ray) in Dubai would cost me like 100 times more!!! Should I do just a new report, stating those additional fillings, and bring it with me to Dubai along with the old one?

why???

I'm wondering if my English is good enough.

Criss,

I don't see the reason why you went to Belgrade. Same like in Bucharest: hundreds of applicants. Why is Belgrade exactly better for you? Beside paying for the transport and accomodation.

Why the hell did I just write down the numbers??????

Yes, my flatmate (ex) was hired from Belgrade at the end of 2009. It's possible. 500 applicants. Good luck. Never mind that I gave you the tips about the places around with much less applicants.

Well, if you want to see Belgrade, go for it. The trams are funny.

Azafata,

did you get an e-mail from the company to repeat that x-ray???????

It doesn't cost 100 times more for sure. (I belive it would be free or charge. Same story with the vaccinations, a new-joiner told me.)

Would you be so kind and listen to me and wait for the response?

Well, on the other hand, keep freaking out, do the x-ray as many times you want.

----

Why do you post questions on a forum when you already made up your minds????

How about italy, how many are they at an OD? as it will not be held in Rome I really hope not so many.. because I am also avoiding bucharest like this (as I'm romanian, received an invitation from the recruitment agency for the prescreening but I did not go as i am living in Italy for the time being)

my friends which have just joined emirates did not send any x ray report, just some declaration from the dentist that they're in a good dental condition and they're already in dubai, fine with it.

Mari I know Belgrad it's not such a good idea but I have a good friend there and I will stay with her.I'll only pay for transportation so I said let's give it a try.For the moment because of financial difficulties I can't go somewhere else even though I wanted to.

Ahahahahaha, Mari you're the best.
That's just what I needed. A chill-out & get a grip response.
It's just that we, the new joiners, due to the numerous "true" stories form the who-knows-what hand, tend to freak out without any logical reason...
Once again, thanks Mari...
.... from a girl who has more tooth-fillings in her mouth than written in the report, ahahaha

Grrr my open session interview

Please someone help me out.....I went to an open house interview with emirates and passed the first test.the second test was english test ....and we had to write an essay on..my biggest mistake and what i learnt from it...i guess this is where i failed...my opening sentence went like this...'i tend to believe that mistakes dont exist only challenges and solutions....then i went ahead and gave a case scenario on my high school days which i feel was great...does anyone have an idea on how to answer to these questions?
i was eliminated on this round.the interviewer gave me that look of disappointment ...i guess she believed i would have gone far..i have to reapply after 6months.is it a must i wait for 6months?anyone who has been on this situation?please help me and give me some ideas on the questions they ask?
i appreciate your help in advance.

Can a married cabin crew couple with prior experience as cabin crew with an international airline stay and fly together if they are selected for Emirates?

Is there something like a 'couple code' where the roster for the couple are similar?

Lightbulb Married couples

I've never heard of such 'married couple code' in aviation. The first 6 months, you will be on probation with Emirates so you won't be able to 'bid' or choose your flights. Plus, even if you applied together, it's possible that you don't get your GC the same day, therefore you might start at different date. But I guess the second to receive his/her GC can ask to leave the same date, if possible. When your probation period is over, you can bid for the same flights and if you have similar seniority, it's possible that you might have a similar roster, but not guaranteed. Again, depending on the fleet, you might not work side by side since usually (I guess it's the same with EK) it's the CCM who choose the position on board. In other words, be prepare to be separate at some point. But at least, if you make it together in Dubai, you will get 45000 dirhams in allowances for living. So yes, you will live together.
