Is qr very particular and strict on the 6 mths ban policy? Or does it depend on the interviewers on that day itself?

It depends on how far you were in the recruitment process before.

If you managed to go to the Final Interview and then you got the NO e-mail, then you will have to wait for six months as all your paperwork was sent to DOH and you have a file there.

If you were eliminated in any other stage during the OD or AD ,you can reapply again with no restriction in any other city ( or even your city ).

At least that's what I know as a lot of friends tried again in a period of one month and they didnt have any problems.

i hope Chinoa is right coz i wanna try within a month again <.<
the strange thing is: this time i got an automatic email after application that said that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted - which i have not received when i applied a month ago!! could it be that they changed the process?
im starting to worry coz a couple days have passed and i received no other email :S (i was shortlisted in the other selection so i thought i would be this time too)

Usagi,

If you are applying for an assessment day (not an open day) you need an invitation to attend which will be sent to you if shortlisted. QR almost never publishes the dates for their assessment days as they decide them when they have received enough of applications. Sometimes they also send out the invitations very late and close to the assessment day with only a few days notice.

Also, only because you were shortlisted last time doesn't necessary mean that you will be it this time too. But, it's most likely because they haven't decided the date for the day yet and that's what taking time.

thanks for the info emma! though in this case the date is already published on their webpage so i dont think thats the issue... indeed, i only apply after i see the published date coz otherwise i know they dont respond (that happened last year)
and the date doesnt even say if its open or assessment day.... so i wonder.

my height?

i wanted to ask opinion on sth, im really worried about this :S
you see my height is 162 cms, and i do reach the minimum requirement (which is 212 on tiptoes) but only barely (like 2 cms higher than that). do you ppl think that they might not select me because of that? do you think it counts how tall we are further than the minimum req? please if you know anybody working for qatar around my height speak up so that i can stop thinking about this x.x thankies

Usagi, don't worry about your height. As long as you can reach 212 cms (or whatever it is) you'll be fine.

male or female? if you are male you are not allowed to tip toe when reaching 212cm.. you must reach this measurement without tip toe. for female we are allowed to tip toe when reaching 212cm.. this is what the recruiters told us when we had our reach test..

Went to the CV submission in Osaka. I am not sure how many people showed up, about 50 or so. The recruiters were very nice and smiled a lot. No fear or intimidation, whatsoever. Gave my resume, had short chit-chat and said good-bye.

I guess, I did not make it. It is 17:23 and my phone is silent.

Good luck to those who have their assessments!

Question Qr Final Answer

Hi everybody,
When we got to the final stage with Qatar airways and they told us it would take 2 to 3 weeks to get the congrats or "sorry but..." email.
Well,it's been 4 weeks already for me and nothing yet.I know that at least 4 out of the 12 that made it that day had the congrats mail...
My question is,do they use to answer everybody at the same time or is it normal to get the bl...mail,I don't know... whenever
Any info would be appreciated pleaaaase
Anybody from the Madrid's interview 25-28th april?

EYgirl!

I was at the OD in Madrid on 25 April! I got the Congratulations email on Monday, I'm waiting for the medical results now... I hope they'll be ready this week because I'm scheduled to go to Doha in June. Can't wait!!
Were you at the same OD??

As it also said in my e-mail that I'm tentatively scheduled to go to Doha in June.....you never know...just thought I would drop a message, for we might be doing our trainning together..?!?
