That's good for you, having a mate already in London. Makes sense then. For me I would only consider Madrid or London, but I would need to pay housing which is really expensive in those cities. I know what u mean....living in Lisbon is not exactly cheap. I'm currently in Porto myself.

I will just try my luck first in the middle east and only if not successful would consider Easy, as Ryanair is a major f***up!

Hi

Hi

I am Dave from Germany we will be sitting in the same boat on the 29.04 in Luton. I worked for Rynair before for about 14 month i was based in Frankfurt Hahn. All my best friends got fired or left the company so left as well.
What is your prefered base? mine is Berlin
I will be staying nearly 2 days in london if you want we could meet for a coffe. It will be not easy that day i was checking online for informations. They inviate a lot and take only a few. But we will see. At Ryanair i did not have to do such things like mathe test and so on.
How about you? What have you been doing and how do you get your self prepared for that day. For you it might be a bit easier as you are from uk i guess.
I am looking foreward to hear from you soon

Take care
David

Hi guys and girls, a little bit of advice here for the assessment day, im now working for easyjet and started at beginning of year.
Probably the biggest and best advice is 'be yourself and have fun'. dont go and look or feel nervous because they watch for that. get involved with everything, talk to everyone and u will find u all get on well. At start of the day in the classroom they will ask each person to give a fact about easyjet so its good to read up about the company, it can be anything from the founder of easyjet, how many times they have been voted the safest airline to what aircraft they fly.

Boeing 737-700 (to be fazed out by 2011)
Airbus 319
Airbus 320 (new aircraft being ordered, 1 delivered to gatwick already)
Airbus 320 ex GB airways
Airbus 321 ex GB airways

remember to say something about easyjet, there were some in group that didnt know a fact and well, i think u can guess if they got job or not. lol

u will then be given a maths and english test, dont worry its not too bad just remember to read the questions carefully, with the maths u are allowed a calculator and some of the questions are about currency conversions which is all muliple and devide again not too bad but read carefully and the questions are multiple choice.

then u do the group excersise, there are too and each group gets a trainer to assess what ur doing in the excersise, basically work as a team, involve everyone, ask eachothers opinions etc, but dont sit out and wait for someone to ask u what u think of an idea, they will watch that. its actually quite fun that part so dont worry too much.

then u have a break and they divide people into 2 groups.. the nervous bit.. they call ur name out, if ur name is called then unfortunatelly its bye bye, if ur name isnt called u can relax lol.
then its just talk about the pay, what goes on etc in easyjet and general things u need to know, where finally u have a 1-2-1 interview. just be urself again relax and they will ask u the usual interview questions about customer service and what u have done exceptional etc. for me they asked if i know what aircraft they use at my chosen base (for me as im LTN its 737-700 and a few A319's although there are more now since i started).

good luck everyone if ur still awake after reading this lol

hey Karen,

as far as im aware, liverpool use only A319's, others reading this correct me if im wrong, there are only a couple of bases now that use the boeing 737 type aircraft.

heres a little fact for u.. the EZY A319's are the only aircraft of that type designed exclusively for easyjet, and the only A319's to have 4 overwing exits (all others have 2). it is required by the aviation safety board as EZY have extra rows so need 2 extra overwing exits.

for uniform, u pay for it, but in segmants through ur pay, i belive its month 3 and 6.
also u dont pay for ur training providing u stay with the company through ur whole contract, its what they call a bond, that will be discussed on the assessment day.

good luck on the day and enjoy it

phil xx

Hi Phil,
Thanks for your prompt reply, that is really appreciated. You really are a mind of helpful information, where do you get it all from, and do you think it helped you on the day!!!!????

I applied to easyJet this time last year and failled to get to the 2-1 interview so I am hoping I will do better this time round.

Cheers

Karen
