For those looking for a position in EY, I heard directly from the upper management (first-hand, yesterday at the staff roadshow) that we are particularly looking for ARABIC and JAPANESE language speakers. For certain roles, we are in need of more CS (Cabin Seniors), CM (Cabin Managers) and F&B Managers.
That's not to say anyone outside these categories doesn't have a chance, but I think over the next few months that's what the recruitment/internal promotional focus is going to be on. Hope that helps a bit!

hello hello
Hi everyone, i'm taking the Emirates AD next week here in argentina, but just in case i wanted to check if there were any available positions for other airlines. Qatar had an OD here a week ago, but i haven't heard anything from Etihad.
Question is...does anyone know if they're coming to south america for recruiting? thanks a lotttt!

Etihad Airways
Yeah I saw it too. How exciting it is.
How Can I apply for it? I am actually in Australia but I want to attend the one in Japan.
My current address is in Australia on My application on Etihad Airways website but my home address is in Japan on my application as well.
Should I change it?
Is it less chance to be invited for the interview?

Etihad vs. Emirates
Hi guys, everything seems to be very quiet here again... I would have thought November and December dates would have been scheduled by now
Just wondering if there are any others in the holding pool with Etihad who are also on hold or waiting for an outcome with Emirates? Does anyone have an opinion on which would be a better airline to work for? There are things I like about both but can't decide which one I would choose...
Thanks, hopefully its almost our turn

This waiting seems to be endless. Did any of you tried to call them and ask if the december trainings were canceled or sthg? BEcause it's high time for us to be informed if any trainings are to start this year...

to an extent I agree with you. However in this economic climate, im considering myself lucky to have a job in the pipe line and not feeling like I have much power to kick up a fuss. I too was successful with both airlines...however Emirates fell through and in my experience Etihad have treated me far better than Emirates. Dont put all your eggs in one basket...as you never know what may happen. Consider it that you dont have Emirates until you arrive in Dubai and start training!Best of luck with your flying career.

im really sad.
ive sent my application day before yesterday and ive got this answer:
"Thank you for your application for the above position with Etihad Airways.
I am sorry to say that we will not proceeding with your application on this occasion.
Thank you for your interest in Etihad Airways and please accept our best wishes for your future success.
Should this position become available after six months, you are welcome to apply again.
Alternatively, visit our careers website at http://careers.etihadairways.com/ehire to see what other positions are currently available.
Once again, many thanks for your interest in Etihad Airways."
i mean why?
yes, i dont have customer service experience, but im at my final year of japanese, at best age, speak english and slovak beside that...
is something wrong with that or it's just because they don't have assassement days near my country )serbia)?
p.s. with emirates ive reached the FI but i said im not free immediately for 4 months, some exams were in the middle, stupid stupid
p.s. sorry for any spelling mistakes, quick typing

I dont think they are recruiting in Serbia if you check their website you will see the countries and they are looking for arabic and Japanese speakers at moment. There is alot of us on a holding pool for months so they will not need more crew at moment until they start the people who are waiting. Just check website for serbia recruitment and then apply, you should get through then!

Reference letters
Hi everyone. I've got a question regarding to Reference Letters.
I am going to attend the assesment centre in Japan soon.
My company's policy that managers are not allowed to give a written reference, however they can give a reference over the phone only.
That means I can provide my managers contact details.
Is it really a problem as someone has mentioned that EY is really serious about documentations on the assesment centre.
Should I ask EY about this matter before I attend the interview??
