Thanks everyone for your help. Londonphilou I was told first contracts were temp for EF then told that they were perm! I wouldn't go for a temp one anyway as I don't want the insecurity of a temp one with financial commitments. Will just have to wait and see what happens at the interview anyway...

All the best! Yes definitely go for it. Glad its permanent. Hope you get an early interview, then you will be among the first to get a course, assuming you get through, when they start offering them.

"I've just received my insight part 1 and the letter said i have to bring swimwear! is a bikini ok or are they expecting a lovely all in one?? "
Bear in mind it is a test of your swimming ability - you will also be putting on a lj in the water and heaving yourself into a life raft, and I mean heaving.

Sorry kellymarie I thought the answer was obvious when given the description of what you are expected to do.
To answer your other question - Yes I did my training at Cranebank and I wore a swimming costume and some long running leggings.
There is also a maximum height of 6'2" - and seemingly they are strict about the measuring.

????
Hi all, im starting on the 11th and im sooo excited!!!!
Been doing my Insight work and the bar paperwork we have to fill in doesnt have on it opium edt, 1/2 ltr vodka etc so its impossible to complete that task. also i cant get the figures to add up on the last sheet, surely they wouldnt give us coursework which doesnt add up??
Also, 7 pages of airport codes...my brain is actually hurting now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone out there at gatwick has a few moments spare i would be ever so grateful if you could list the destinations we fly to from lgw. whenever i go onto ba.com it gives you the maps but not the definitive routes from gatwick.
again im sooo looking forward to starting!!!! a bit scared as well if im honest, hope its not too hard.
see you on monday

There is a discrepancy in the bar paperwork exercise which the trainers are aware of. Just do what you can, really just so you can get a feel of what the procedure is. Don't stress about not actually being able to complete it. You are not the first one.
