Hi there happy new year !!After a previous message telling me how much travelling I would have to do from Clapham I have started to look around for places to stay nearer to Heathrow. Just wondered if you guys have found anything or how the search is going !! Worst case I can still stay at my friends but think I will die from all the endless hours of travelling !! It is gonna be a very expensive 6 weeks just looking a t the cost of renting a room !! Let me know if you have found anything.Take care X

Hey!
I also got offered an interview yesterday! But it's for next week! I have school and I can't get cheap flights to Heathrow... I have flights to Luton on easyjet for about 150 euros which is OK... I emailed them and told them this was too soon, I was so grateful they invited me and I really wanna go. They reassured me that I can wait till new dates come up but that they can't promise anything... But I just saw they've extended the deadline for the same position, this time until Jan 20th, so maybe I'll be able to go with that batch of applicants to their interviews? Because I have a week of holidays in the beginning of February... I don't know what to do now, should I book for next week today or wait till new dates come up...? I really want this, really bad.
Good luck to everyone else who applied, keep in touch please!
all the best,
Portugal

I ended up booking the interview for Friday 11th Jan, under the fear that I may not have one so soon... I managed to find a cheap-ish flight option, now I just have to pay for it.
Good luck everyone with your applications!

Portugal
Portugal, you have done the right thing! Best get it done now and out of the way instead of taking the risk of not getting a later date. If you get through, which I hope you do, then you can take the next step re when you can start.
good luck!!
good luck!!

Accommodation during training LGW
Hi
I'm due to start my training course in LGW at the beginning of Feb and was wondering if anyone can give me any advice as to where to look for a short term room rental or if anyone knows of a spare room for 6 weeks in/near Crawley.

Londonphilou
Hey Londonphilou, thanks for that. That's exactly what I thought. Fingers crossed... I've already paid for the flight... Now just need to book accomodation.
I went to a travel agent and he found me a €56 B&B rate for Holiday Inn Ariel, which I thought is quite good (it's around £30), but I think it's closer to the airport than to Hatton Cross. Does anyone have any idea of a better place that is closer to Hatton Cross? Any help is appreciated
Good luck to everyone else going for an interview next week - maybe I'll see you there (fingers crossed you guys all get the interviews, and later the job that you want)

Anna, Happy & Now Kelly
Hey
Happy New Year all !! Congrats to Kelly on getting your training date how long have you been waiting ??
Anna still no luck on the accomodation front as yet but am still looking as want to get this sorted now. I have seen this site though crewhouselhr.com so am gonna give them a call to see what they have available for 10th for 6wks the prices aren't that bad either about £20 per day as you say it is gonna be an expensive time you are looking at about £650 for accommodation alone but all I keep thinking how worth it, it gonna be.
I have been told that you need to go fairly smart to your training so I am going to wear my suit you do get your uniform on the first day of your course and think that you start to wear it in about the 3rd wk of training apparantly.
Have any of you got your study materials yet?
