Finally I got an email stating that I am included in the November 28 Ground School in Melbourne, also was informed that i have to do the Medicals and ASICS as soon as possible.

After being unsuccessful with jetstar and virgin, im finally, after many months of waiting, im going to start training with Tiger Airways. All the best to everyone. Have patience and in the mean time, while you wait, keep living your life. There was so many moments where i was obsessively checking my email. but in between it all, i got a new job, made new friends and now my dream has come true. Good luck everyone.

How long until next AD?
Hi guys!
I got an email this morning saying that I've been successful in making it to the next Group Interview. However there is no date yet and they said it could be a number of weeks. Does anyone have the slightest idea as to when the next one may be held?

i would say be prepared for a long wait, the airline industry is very unpredictable...its taken me months of waiting to get into ground school with tiger.......though when i had the interview with jetstar, it was literally a congratulations you've made it to the group interviews and they were held within a week...so im assuming its different for everyone..you need a lot of luck and patience

I got an email inviting me to a group interview with Jetstar probably a week after applying and had to wait 3 months for the interview.
I'm waiting on the result!
So yeah, don't expect it to happen quickly...I dont think they were having another round of interviews until January

I'm meant to be going tomorrow too. Am still sitting here agonising over it. This is the 3rd time now, once when I was 30 I tried for Qantas, once more for altar/jetstar about 18 months ago and then the other day got invited again now I'm 42 and thinking it's probably left better as a dream. I really don't know about doing it to myself again. I don't think I can stand the broken heart. I cried for an hour last time I didn't make it.
I also went for another interview today. Got the job, thinking it just might be all too hard.

The got the golden phone call from Jetstar!!!! I start ground school on Feb 9th!!
I've been screaming in excitement since yesterday afternoon - I was positive that i didn't get it as they said we hadn't been successful if we didn't hear in 2-3 weeks.
Anyone else starting on Feb 6th?

interviews
hey I was at the Dec 15th interviews, still havent heard anything its been a week (xmas day) Ive spoken to others that were there and said the same thing, also my boss hasnt had any ref calls, a mate said they waited a week and a half, others have said three weeks, im still going to keep positive and hopfully hear something soon

I was asked by a friend about being an F/A in Aus so looked on here. I understand the excitement of getting a job, but knowing how these companies operate PLEASE read the contract VERY carefully - ideally with someone who understands airlines. Talk to someone getting off a flight about what it is like. Think very carefully about what it is like driving home from work and pulling over to throw up because you are so tired. Its the cumulative effect of extreme tiredness that gets you after a while. Any of you would get far better skills, earn way more money, be a lot less tired and stay much healthier working in a good restaurant. Can't help myself saying something. Everyone was enthusiastic once, believe me you will never find glamour in a hotel you hate or an aircraft galley.

Ground school feb 6
Hiya i went to the november assessment day for altara seq and got the phone call yesterday saying im invited to ground school on feb 6. Does anyone know where the first week of it is held cos they said it was one week seq and 3 weeks melb? Anyone one else from seq on here?
