Hey Jet, I am in the same boat as you. Was going to email them and see if I could start out casual with Altara or if we would need to interview again.

Hey guys & Gals,

Well they will get you to come in for the day, Go thru your details about the job and then get you to give them your certificates (its ok if you dont have them but make sure you do get them if your successfull).. Then they will do a height valuation then onto your one on one's.. After the one on ones they will do group activities and then send you off to lunch, if you get a call back after lunch then your in to the next round.. which is basically another one on one (with a different interviewer).

The advice that I can give you is just be yourself and show that you want to work for the company.. Be positive and cheerful and show alot of interaction and motivation.. They arent checking if the answers are right or wrong.. its about how you express yourself and problem solving.

Jetstar cabin crew interview

Hi

I have been invited for a cabin crew interview for jetstar with Altara at Sydney. Just wanting to know what I can expect on the day, what sort of personality and behaviour will assesors be going for and what sort of interview questions would be asked. Anything to help me prepare well for the day would help.

I honestly feel like JQ is not hiring full timers...as lots of crew come from SIG too...I really want this position but there is lots of negative points at this stage so...can't really see the future

Who knows Jet, but what I do know is that they are hiring alot of Casuals..

Maybe you should come jump on the casual side of it and then when there is full time available then apply for that ?

somebody i know got an email inviting them to ANOTHER recruitment day in melbourne on the 27th.....they seem to be hiring a LOT of casuals, as two groups went through ground school in melbourne end of june, plus the group going through early august....but i suppose there is only about 15-20 in each group....just hoping this isnt going to mean that we dont get much work because there as so many casuals

Yes and you can add 6th of September ground school to that too. That's my start date!

Does anyone know what the go is if you're a casual with altara and you want to plan a holiday to europe for 7 weeks? Would you have to quit or can you roster off for that period of time?

how far away is it? we had a girl starting and she was going to america in 3 months, and got sent home on the first day, but if its 8months to a year after i dont think you'd have a problem

It's not till july next year. I haven't booked anything, I'm just planning on going..

I'm starting ground school on the 13th of September..

They must be hiring alot, everyone seems to be attending recruitment on different dates.

Altara MEL Recruiting

FYI - It has been a while since anyone has written on this forum. I applied just this Monday for JQ casual and i received a reply and invitation to a MEL RD on 1 Sep. Anyone else been offered similar?

Hi all,

I went for an interview with jetstar Sydney last December and after being on hold for 8 months they rang yesterday to offer me a full time position (but in Melbourne). Gs is set for 8th of November- has anyone else heard from them re job offers?

altara casuals are being offered internal positions to fulltime for NEWCASTLE base and are invitied to apply. according to CEO jetstar will in the future recruit most fulltimers from the casual pool.
