Hello all... I am looked through the forum and am unable to find the answer to my question - hence I will pose it here and would be very appreciative if someone could reply... My question is in regard to pay/remuneration?
What is the remuneration on offer from JetStar and how is it comprised (as specifically and detailed as possible)?

* finish school to year 12 (preferable)
* clock up some customer service experience in hospitality for a few years
* apply for an airline. you will need an RSA and first aid cert - but you should already have an RSA working in hospitality.
Three years customer service experience face to face in challenging environments is one of hte best things you can have on your resume. There is a chance you can get in sooner, but most recruiters want experience and also a bit of life experience too (travel/work etc)

Also, does anyone know when Jetstar will be recruiting for SYD base????
Is it worth just putting in my application even if they are recruiting at another city base? I am willing to relocate...any help regarding Jetstar recruitment and when they will be performing it will much much appreciated.

Wasted 4 years of my life with Jetstar.
Good luck to all JQ crew! I know you work very hard. Facing an up hill battle with team jetstar's lower pay & not so good conditions.

I'm pretty new to this forum and I've been reading everyone's posts! Congrats all that have achieved their dreams!!
My question is... Does anyone know where the GS will be for upcoming Perth Base? I've applied for The new LH Perth Base but am currently living in Melb and hoping and praying that GS will be in Melb...

I attended a recruitment day back in Feb, got all the way thru and was placed on the Hold list at the end of March. In the 4 months until now all i have received are once-monthly emails stating that there are still no scheduled GS's for MEL/AVV base crew on hold. Anyone know if any GS have been scheduled for the rest of the year?

I'm waiting and hoping to get on the new perth base, and am hoping that the GS for that will be in melb. I would presume that it'd be fairly soon seeing as Perth base is taking off end of october...

Hi breeza! Havnt been on here for a while but i applied for Jetstar Perth base too. Hoping to hear back from them soon. I imagine too, that the ground school will be in Melbourne.
I just cant wait for the interview/open day they have. Im really interested to know more about pay and what kind of roster we are likely to have.

oooh how exciting! When did you apply? Did you notice that they have closed applications early? Says on the recruitment site that apps closed on the 30th of June but they were supposed to close on the 6th of July?!
So are you from WA?? I'm from Geelong, VIC. But I want to relocate so am excited to have the opportunity to apply for Perth Base.
I hope we hear something back soon! Will have to keep in touch on our progress! woo!

Perth Base LH CC
At the moment from what I heard, there are no plans for Perth Base. Considering that flights will commence in September 2008. They will first give priority to the Adelaide base CC if they consider relocating to Perth, otherwise MEL/SYD base crew will just have to do the international leg and pax/overnight in Perth.

Yeah i think because some of us received an email from jetstar announcing the opening of a Perth base, so we applied for it. But then there was the drama with qantas losing its staff, and last i heard from Jetstar is that the recruitment process has been put on hold. So hopefully by the end of the year or next year the Perth base will be back on!
