FI Ad-Global Jet Luxembourg
Hello,
There is an ad in F I regarding pilots wanted for a company which operates a B767 and fleet of business jets. The operators identity doesnt seem to be obvious but may be Global Jet Luxembourg. Ive done a search on the company and looked at their website etc. Could someone confirm this and perhaps give their opinion on working for them. (B767 Captain more specifically). Many thanks |
GlobalJet LUX
Anybody out there to share some information about T&Cs at GlobalJet Lux, especially on the BBJ?
I´ve heard they are looking for people right now...and it seems to me a nice operation. 2 weeks ON / 2 weeks OFF is not bad. Especially if "your" owner is not a frequent flyer :E Thanks. |
|
Have you checked ppjn.com? There is some information under "Europe", "All facilities".
|
yep, done that. And I checked all the threads on here.
Would be nice to get some ACTUAL information / comments from people withing GlobalJet. Current situation, outlook, working atmosphere etc. Normally pilots complain all the time and I haven´t seen much GlobalJet guys complaining here on pprune. So either everybody is happy there or they are just too busy flying :} |
Beware the rumour is they are downsizing and not by choice, and by all accounts more to come !!
|
I have a friend who works there and he says the money sucks. I can't tell you more than that but look out.
|
Last time someone told the truth on here about Globaljet the thread was promply removed!

AKA "Global Joke" by company aircrew
Amateurs with a capital A.
Classic case where operation has exanded too fast - inexperianced small aircraft management playing with "big boy toys". Contract appears attractive but weighed in company favour. Poor rostoring with constant changes. In principle 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off but always longer on duty (vacation & training also deducted from days off). Account department a mess with late payment of monthly salaries & personal expense claims. Generally disorganised. Poor hotels, although management have had to back track somewhat on earlier decisions. All Russian clients - French run. French nationals pay minimal income tax on Luxembourg contract (favourable double taxation agreement - grey area!?), other nationalities very high tax. Hire & fire mentality hence the lack of feedback. |
A. (like amateur?) :D
How can they become so big if they are so unorganised? What are the SOP's like? I heard they have now around 45 planes? Do the pilots all swallow this? Do the clients like it? is there a change? |
Check the registrations. They're collecting AOCs, moving aircraft from one register to another and go where regulatory pressure is the lowest.
If I were one of the owners I would feel stuffed by the contract and the way it's implemented (not), but it looks like most don't even realize it. Or maybe they just enjoy it? I guess the bell should have ringed by now  |
A. could also stand for Dntoine Aavid, couldn't it?! :}

Regulatory Pressure Increasing – Jepps out of date again
Recent audits & ramp checks by the authorities have revealed out of date Jeppesen documentation & poor monitoring of fuel & weather.
Surprising lack of support for the company – it would suggest that company personnel concur with comments so far. Quote: I heard they have now around 45 planes? (macjet) 44 with the latest addition. Quote: Check the registrations (Stratocaster) HB-IVR, LX-AAA, LX-AAM, LX-AKI, LX-COS, LX-EAR, LX-FAZ, LX-FMR, LX-FTA, LX-GEX, LX-GJL, LX-GJM, LX-GVV, LX-IRE, LX-PAK, LX-SVW, LX-VAZ, LX-VIP, LX ZAV, N818RF, OE-GJA, OE-GRF, OE-GRS, OE-IAK, OE-IGJ, OE-IDX, OE-IDG, OE-IPH, OE-INC, OE-ILX, OE-IPK, P4-AAA, P4-ABC, P4-CRJ, P4-HEC, P4-MES, P4-RUS, P4-VML, P4-VVF, P4-XTC, VP-BRT, VP-CEB, VP-CFR, OE-GRS Austrian (OE) registration has large financial incentives - cash back I believe in the region of 10% hull value – maybe someone can confirm this? |

I don't know where your information is coming from, but you listed aircraft which are definitly not operated by GJ. |
And you forgot at least OE-HHH (DA50EX) and LX-IRE has been sold to an US operator at least 2 or 3 months ago.
|
This listing is fully right. I'm positive about that. Some aircrafts look like not op
Definitly not. If you don't believe it, check the registration marks online for the operator.
http://www.austrocontrol.at/main.php - for all Austrian Aircraft, updated Mar 31, 07 (it's only in German but check the XLS file) http://www.bazl.admin.ch/fachleute/l...x.html?lang=en for the Swiss one (in English) By the way, heard that the guys at the Luxembourg office are heavily overloaded with work, e.g. one guy had only one day off in a 6 months timeframe (including weekends and public holidays). Might be only a rumour, who knows? |
Fossy.... Are you a plane spotter??
|
a lot of their crews left and came to Netjets so it cannot be that great , the 15 on / 15 off is in fact 17/13 as you start and finish the day before and the day after if the next crew is not sick and you are not in Novosibirsh...they are succesfull like jet av used to be with the middle Est customers in SWiss ,GJ is cleaning dirty money from the Russians via the management of their airplane.... in the quite secretive Luxemburg Banks. simple !
|
Not only russian owners, e.g. Falcon 50EX OE-HHH is not owned by a russian.
|
As far as i now, the LX-PAK is not operated by GJ.......
This aircraft is operated by friends and is based at LBG...... |
