Global Jet Luxembourg
Anybody can give some references on Global Jet Luxembourg. Type of a/c, expansion plans, stability, web page if any.

Global Jet Luxembourg is , I believe, part of Global Jet Concept.
They do management and charter. Fleet consists of: (those in the know, please update!) a Falcon 50, a 50EX, a 900C, a 900B, 2 GLEXs, a CL604, a BBJ and a 767-300ER. Is "Silver Arrows" the same thing as Global Jet Luxembourg, or "just" the private airline of a certain Russian gentlemen and/or his business?

Silver Arrows is the initial name of the company, set up in 1999.

Looks like it's snail mail only for the applications. I guess they are expecting a huge amount of applications. In fact so many, they may be afraid their email boxes will become clogged. |
flexjet--also at least one G550 for a Russian client.
I ran into one of their guys this summer and actually saw Michel in the lobby but didn't get to talk to him. The guy I talked to seemed pretty happy. Seems like a pretty stable and up front company.TC |

Sorry flex, the G550 is a managed aircraft. I guess you were talking about GJC's owned aircraft.

I applied for the Falcon 900, Global 700 F/O position about one week ago, but did not get any answer yet. I have the Typerating for the Falcon 50/900 and some hundred hours on it. Might be advantageous. Did you also apply? What is your backround? How many do drivers do they need?

Does anyone have any definitive details on what global are looking for?......I fancy trying my hand at a falcon...beats a turbo-prop everyday..having said that...Luxembourg?

This is only hear say, but it comes from the inside. Captains generally min. 6000Hrs approximately 5 years in the business. Typerating of course an advantage. Normally experience is between 6000-24000 Hrs. First officers, must also have experience from the corporate side flying Falcon-2000 size or similar. Experience between 3000-6000 Hrs. mainly jet time. And of course typerating an ... You have to be extremely focused on customer service and of course you must be flexible. Great people:ok: |
I just called GJL and a lady there told me that they are waiting for 10 more days in order to let everyone interested a chance to apply.
They received so far a huge amount of applications but they will try to answer to each applicant. Jet time preferred. |
Hm, does anybody know how the selection process looks like? How are terms and conditions?

Just out of curiosity, I would think someone with a G550 rating would have a decent job. Arenīt you at the top end of the bizjet community already? At least thatīs the impression I get when reading the salary survey in ProPilot. Or am I wrong?

has anybody had an interview lately? going to have an ' informal ' chat coming up soon. does anybody know what they are interviewing for at the moment, i replied to FI advert,but that was a while ago. checked their website but no indication of any recruitment. does anybody know where are you going to be based or is everybody based in lux? any ideas of work patterns and pay for f/o, infact any fact based information appreciated. thanks very much :confused: |
They have bases in Geneva, London(Luton), Nice and Moscow. Similar thing to Netjets as far as travelling between work and homebase, but if you stay overnight at your homebase expenses from hotac are yours unless you live there ofcourse.
Salary differs from 5000-10000 depending about your position and experience plus perdiems as usual. Normally roster is 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, but that changes all the time might be 3 on 1 off etc. But eventually the goal is 2 weeks on 2 off. Right now major lack of crews in Global fleet. Thats why the roster is so unstable. HS |

holding short. if i would be recruited on to the global fleet, what would be my base? probably difficult to answer but it's worth a try. 5000- 10000 euros, is that for f/o or cap aswell? holding , if you work for this company and after your last post i think you probably do. can you tell me what uniform you wear? was told to turn up in my jeans for the interview! |

i said i had an interview, but unfortunatly that was wrong, but unintentionally. in the same week i applied to two different companies advertising in flight international, both in lux, but the second one was for a private operator,looking for lear 45 captain,as i'm not type rated i completly forgot about it ,as i thought there is only a slim chance. when somebody called, i could only think of GJC,how dimm of me. but thanks to one of you ,who made me think and i realised i was wrong!!! very sorry if i caused false hope. going into the naughty corner now:sad: |

No answer as well...as previously posted a lady at GJC told me that they would try to reply to everyone.
It appears that Flight International made a mistake in that the advertisement didn't show all the flight experience desired. Too bad for us and for GJC, imagine hundreds of applications arriving in a few days... |

I know that they have hired some guys during the last few months. At least one F/O for Falcon 900 and one F/O for GEX. One (Falcon) with type rating and other one without.
That is all I know about it... |
