Global Jet Luxembourg

Anybody can give some references on Global Jet Luxembourg. Type of a/c, expansion plans, stability, web page if any.
Any info will be highly appreciated

Thanks!

:ok:

FLEXJET 19th Oct 2004 15:23

Global Jet Luxembourg is , I believe, part of Global Jet Concept.

They do management and charter.

Fleet consists of:
(those in the know, please update!)
a Falcon 50, a 50EX, a 900C, a 900B, 2 GLEXs, a CL604, a BBJ and a 767-300ER.

Web page is:
www.globaljetconcept.com

I saw somewhere that the Chief Pilot's name is Michel (those in the know, please update!).

Good luck! (they are recruiting pilots...)

B767-300 19th Oct 2004 16:01

Thanks a lot. Let's see if there's any luck .;)

we_never_change 19th Oct 2004 19:08

Aren't the BBJ & B763 operated for a certain Russian businessman who spends quite alot of time in London?

WNC

FLEXJET 19th Oct 2004 19:26

Yes of course!

Also, a Global Express is often used as well as a EC-155B helicopter.

Mark Lewis 19th Oct 2004 20:29

Is "Silver Arrows" the same thing as Global Jet Luxembourg, or "just" the private airline of a certain Russian gentlemen and/or his business?

FLEXJET 19th Oct 2004 20:47

Silver Arrows is the initial name of the company, set up in 1999.

Mark Lewis 19th Oct 2004 21:12

Cheers FLEXJET, that clears things up a little, although am I correct in thinking that the Silver Arrows name is still used sometimes?

josephshankes 19th Oct 2004 21:13

All their email addresses are blocked.

Looks like it's snail mail only for the applications.

I guess they are expecting a huge amount of applications. In fact so many, they may be afraid their email boxes will become clogged.

AA717driver 22nd Oct 2004 16:49

flexjet--also at least one G550 for a Russian client.

I ran into one of their guys this summer and actually saw Michel in the lobby but didn't get to talk to him.

The guy I talked to seemed pretty happy. Seems like a pretty stable and up front company.TC

FLEXJET 22nd Oct 2004 17:47

Yes, I forgot the G550 you mentioned already (I don't know details of this one).

Global Jet Concept fleet:

FA50 LXAKI
F900 LXCOS
LJ31 LXEAR
CL60 LXFAZ
FA50 LXFMR
F900 LXFTA
GLEX LXGEX
F900 LXGJL
FA50 LXIRE
C550 LXVAZ
GLEX LXVIP

The P4-GJC BBJ is "Tanzanite Investments", a separate branch.

AA717driver 22nd Oct 2004 18:14

Sorry flex, the G550 is a managed aircraft. I guess you were talking about GJC's owned aircraft.

It's N-registered as are a few jets operated by Russians.TC

Mark Lewis 23rd Oct 2004 15:00

Is LX-GJC the CRJ still with them?

FLEXJET 23rd Oct 2004 15:40

Mark, the CRJ SE is now P4-CRJ.
HCX Aviation AVV/Global Jet Luxembourg

Silver Arrows is still used:
www.silver-arrows.net

By the way, any replies following Ppruners recent applications for the 900 and GLEX positions?

sixfeetabove 25th Oct 2004 16:44

I applied for the Falcon 900, Global 700 F/O position about one week ago, but did not get any answer yet. I have the Typerating for the Falcon 50/900 and some hundred hours on it. Might be advantageous. Did you also apply? What is your backround? How many do drivers do they need?

FLEXJET 25th Oct 2004 17:41

I am not typed but I applied, of course!
My backround is, well, not very impressive but I heard that GJC hired at least one low timer.

I don't think that the rating is really an advantage for GJC.

If you want to learn more about GJC:

Enjoy!

AA717driver 26th Oct 2004 01:59

Thanks, Flex! One of the pics was of the FA I met in Turkey. Nice lady. A Russian who speaks better english than most of my relatives...;) TC

haughtney1 26th Oct 2004 21:03

Does anyone have any definitive details on what global are looking for?......I fancy trying my hand at a falcon...beats a turbo-prop everyday..having said that...Luxembourg?

Also anyone know whta the T's & C's are like.....rosters etc..?

cheers H

Snowyman 29th Oct 2004 09:06

Requirements?

Hi,

This is only hear say, but it comes from the inside. Captains generally min. 6000Hrs approximately 5 years in the business. Typerating of course an advantage. Normally experience is between 6000-24000 Hrs.

First officers, must also have experience from the corporate side flying Falcon-2000 size or similar. Experience between 3000-6000 Hrs. mainly jet time. And of course typerating an ...

You have to be extremely focused on customer service and of course you must be flexible. Great people:ok:

FLEXJET 29th Oct 2004 13:50

I just called GJL and a lady there told me that they are waiting for 10 more days in order to let everyone interested a chance to apply.

They received so far a huge amount of applications but they will try to answer to each applicant.

Jet time preferred.

wondering 8th Nov 2004 18:31

Hm, does anybody know how the selection process looks like? How are terms and conditions?

Nope did not get a call. Just hoping like so many.

Bumz_Rush 10th Nov 2004 11:06

Awaiting response too

I also am awaiting response, but have a feeling that it will not even be a thank you.

I was hoping to use my G550 rating with them, but lets wait and see.

Bumz

wondering 10th Nov 2004 18:43

Just out of curiosity, I would think someone with a G550 rating would have a decent job. Arenīt you at the top end of the bizjet community already? At least thatīs the impression I get when reading the salary survey in ProPilot. Or am I wrong?

Bumz_Rush 10th Nov 2004 19:28

thanks wondering....

...I have a job, but GJC have a fantastic reputation, and I feel that a change to a reputable professional organisation would be beneficial....Bumz

Aslak 14th Nov 2004 10:06

Anyone got a reply or interview date from them recently?

No news for me so far...

PPPmember 23rd Nov 2004 14:28

Adverticed Jobs

Have seen they continue to look for pilots - Flight International.

I have applied to them by snail-mail as well as e-mail .... no reply from them yet ....

Lear 31/Lear 60/Gulfstream 100/MD80/B-737 experience ..... 13.000 hours total ....

Wish me luck .......

skery1a 26th Nov 2004 21:30

hi there,
has anybody had an interview lately?
going to have an ' informal ' chat coming up soon.

does anybody know what they are interviewing for at the moment,
i replied to FI advert, but that was a while ago.

checked their website but no indication of any recruitment.

does anybody know where are you going to be based or is everybody based in lux?

any ideas of work patterns and pay for f/o,

infact any fact based information appreciated.

thanks very much

Holding Short 27th Nov 2004 09:18

They have bases in Geneva, London(Luton), Nice and Moscow. Similar thing to Netjets as far as travelling between work and homebase, but if you stay overnight at your homebase expenses from hotac are yours unless you live there ofcourse.

Salary differs from 5000€-10000€ depending about your position and experience plus perdiems as usual. Normally roster is 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, but that changes all the time might be 3 on 1 off etc. But eventually the goal is 2 weeks on 2 off. Right now major lack of crews in Global fleet. Thats why the roster is so unstable.

HS

skery1a 27th Nov 2004 09:51

thank you very much for that,
holding short.

if i would be recruited on to the global fleet, what would be my base? probably difficult to answer but it's worth a try.
5000- 10000 euros, is that for f/o or cap aswell?

holding , if you work for this company and after your last post i think you probably do.
can you tell me what uniform you wear?
was told to turn up in my jeans for the interview!

Holding Short 27th Nov 2004 11:47

skery1a

Check your PM.

the aviator 27th Nov 2004 12:49

Skery 1a,

Interesting to hear that GJ started to interview, When and how did you hear it? And are you rated for the Global?

and Hold Short you said ''major lack of crews'' how many you think they need?

cheers the aviator

Holding Short 27th Nov 2004 14:17

GJC

The aviator,

Rumour says many and only thing limiting the grouth is to find suitable people(as always I quess). I am not in the company. Good luck.

HS

skery1a 29th Nov 2004 20:14

very sorry, got to apologise to everybody about wrong info:ugh:

i said i had an interview, but unfortunatly that was wrong, but unintentionally.
in the same week i applied to two different companies advertising in flight international, both in lux, but the second one was for a private operator, looking for lear 45 captain,as i'm not type rated i completly forgot about it ,as i thought there is only a slim chance.
when somebody called, i could only think of GJC,how dimm of me.
but thanks to one of you ,who made me think and i realised
i was wrong!!!
very sorry if i caused false hope.
going into the naughty corner now:sad:

the aviator 12th Dec 2004 15:39

Hello everybody,

pretty quit here at the Global Jet front. Anybody heard something yet regarding an interview? It has been a while since i send my application. Probably they will start in the new year?!

The aviator.

FLEXJET 12th Dec 2004 16:00

No answer as well...as previously posted a lady at GJC told me that they would try to reply to everyone.
It appears that Flight International made a mistake in that the advertisement didn't show all the flight experience desired.
Too bad for us and for GJC, imagine hundreds of applications arriving in a few days...

wondering 13th Dec 2004 18:47

@ FLEXJET

what kind of experience was the lady talking about? Any chance w/o experience on a +20t Jet? :\

FLEXJET 14th Dec 2004 08:58

wondering,

I didn't get the requirements, I really can't tell.

PPPmember 17th Dec 2004 14:14

... too bad that there are so many people without an answer from them ... I am one of them ... with good biz-jet experience, experience from "the tracks" as well as Africa, Far East and so on ....

If anybody from the company read this - please give us a hint of the progress of selection ... or something ....

Aslak 19th Jan 2005 17:41

I know that they have hired some guys during the last few months. At least one F/O for Falcon 900 and one F/O for GEX. One (Falcon) with type rating and other one without.
That is all I know about it...
