I'm at Atlantic BNA several times a year and it was unfortunate. Word is that the tow bar snapped in 2.

what were they using a Heinz cereal bar?



Reminds me of JCB using their Gulfstream to demolish part of the oil store, surely they have diggers for that..

Looking at the photos the bar didn't snap in two. There's a weak link behind the towing eye which drops over the tow hitch. It's designed to fail in overload.

Therefore the tug to a/c link went into overload and the link failed. Why it did that is for others to decide.

In terms of the mating game is the Gulfstream saying 'anyone can make a mistake?"
