3 job opportunities, which one to choose?

I´m a CP-IR-MEL with about 330 hours, been looking for a flying job for more than a year from now, last month I went for an interview to work as an FO for Susi Air in Indonesia, a few days ago I received an answer that I have been approved and should start employment in october. last week I have been approved in a company that flies a learjet 35, my employment would be as a flight dispatcher firstly and make some ferry flights and then assume the position of FO when the currently pilot quits the company (god knows when), and yesterday at night I just received an email from a guy who wants me to fly his amphibian plane Lake renegade, he also has a bonanza so I could probably fly it as well in the future.

I live in Brazil, I really want to have the experience of living in another country (indonesia) flying more than 80hrs/month in brand new caravans, however the salary is crap and I heard a lot of bad issues about Susi Air on the web, another prob is that I would need to pay a bond of 2500usd to start working there.
the learjet problem is that Im not flying it right now, and those ferry flights couldnt be logged, the lear also flies very little, 20hours/month at most
the amphibian sounds like a lot of fun but its not a real job

any advices?

I Think Susi Air will be the best bet. You will build experience on a turbine, be current as you will be flying often. I personally would go for that one.

Will it be possible to share with us where and how was the Interview with Susi Air ? I sent my CV to them twice, but never heared from them.

Thanks.

There's a guy on the Flyer forums called 'Moose' who recently got a job flying caravans in Indonesia.

He's posted quite a few updates about his job, you may want to have a look at them. e.g. FLYER Forums • View topic - Yay! I've got a flying job!

ITO, at this moment my heart want to go to indonesia too, i will not only build a lot of experience in my career, but the LIFE experience will be something I will never forget. In Susi air You need to commit to stay with them for about 2 years otherwise a high bond needs to be paid, Im sure I could stay there for 2 years easily, the problem is that here in Brazil every company is hiring and there is a lot more airplanes to come in the next 2 years and i may lose these opportunities while i am there. big airlines that flies boeings, Ejets and ATR´s are starting to hire pilots with no experience so sooner or later I will be hired by them here

But im not only thinking about my carrer, im thinking about my life, know what i mean? and thats why i still want so much to go to indonesia.

asyncio, thanks for the link, i did a lot of research on foruns about SUSI AIR but this one is new to me! will try to contact the pilot via PM

tonight i will meet the owner of the amphibian to see what is his proposal, and I need to tell the leajet guys my decision tomorrow in the morning

Susi Air, definitely! The life experience, as you said, plus lots of flying on a regular basis.
And if a dream-job materializes in Brazil, USD 2500.- is not such a dramatic bond to pay!

To be honest..

Despite the negative views towards Susi air, I think your best chance is on the Caravan.

The chances of you getting any flying time on the jets is too small and not nearly enough to get much out of it.

You'll earn quite a lot of experience flying the Caravan, it's not a twin but still valuable commercial turbine time.

If you have to pay for the rating... I guess you'll have to do that if you want to have a chance at all. If they bond you, fair enough.

Having to stay in Indonesia for several years... maybe a plus or a minus... depends on how you look on life.

Good luck!

I would go for the Caravan even with Susi Air.
At least you have some "guaranteed" hours instead of some hypothetical flights...

Indonesia is not such a bad country and apparently Susi is full of expats. I met a couple of them in past few weeks and they seem quite happy.
They fly the Caravan with 2 pilots but with the local environement it is not a bad idea. You will get good experience with nasty weather and operating in remote & also on big airports.

The money for local standards seems quite good even for the "FO" on the caravan. Life in Indonesia seems quite acceptable at least in the big cities. Well there are some political tensions but for time being that does not affect the foreigners.

If you have a better oportunity later, 2500$ is really not a big deal...

Go to Indonesia.

You don't have enough experience to fly single-pilot, private ops in a single piston. May sound odd but it's true.

Turbine time is well worth getting and a structured environment will help you build experience without risking your life. Van driving is fun as well.....
