Hello All,

Thanks for the kind words. Fingers crossed and a lot of preparation and hopfully my life will take a drastic change for the better. We'll see what happens.

As for the Q's Lavdumper, this is what I can say as of right now, however I do not have all the facts as of yet.

1. I presume the entry level position is the right seat on a Hawker. That's what they have offered me.

2. No idea. Somewhere close to an international a/p is my understanding.

3. Proposed schedule is 35 on 31 off and the flying I imagine will take me to where ever the client wants to go, but I am expecting to stay mainly in the Mid East region.

As for travel arrangements Cloudbasher, none yet, I'll have to get back to you.

Hey Samiratango,

Can't really say that I have much to offer. Made an initial call to their office to see what was happening as far as hiring was concerned with the hope of perhaps speaking with the CP directly. Didn't get thru to the CP however the people I spoke to were quite friendly and helpful. Updated my resume and emailed it off to NJME. Made a follow up call and was able to talk to the CP. Really wasn't expecting much but he was very freindly and open and told me about the interviews at the end of the month and that I would be contacted one way or the other. Left it at that and next thing I know I'm getting an invite to the interview. I must say, I have NEVER had such sucess in calling a company, or speaking to the CP, or appliing for a position, or making a follow-up phone call as I have had with NJME, AND with such a fast reply that I was a surprised. And to be honest, I didn't think they would even consider me, however I guess I was wrong so I am quite happy with the way things have gone so far. That's really all I can say. Try it, it might work as well for you as it did for me??

Cheers,

Joe

P.S. SamTango, check you're P.M.'s

Nope, never called Ohio. I don't have the right to fly in the States so I figured I'd just be wasting my time. I think that if you apply online that the completed forms would most likely be submitted to HQ in Ohio and hence the reason I submitted to a division I figured I'd have a chance of flying for. As I understand it, most Mid East countries except any/all ICAO licences where as the NJ and NJE one would need there FAA and JAR licence respectively.

Question NJME info needed

Hey DXB, (and anyone else)

Who do u fly for in ME. Any pilot openings there for US FAA ATP certified crew? I am really looking for any suitable job in the region to be close to my family.

Also, can u pull any strings with your NJME friends in getting an interview call? Their HR manager says "resume is on file for future reference" and no offer at all.

Thanks for the info.

Not sure about the shut down part, but following 911 they did relocate all of their crew/families to Lisbon, its quite reasonable that they have done the same again.

Sent a resume end of 2002 responding to corporatepilot.com listing, received and completed application package early this year and got a phone call on my US cell Jan 20th advising of interviews in Paris end of March. Got the "adminstrative" thumbs down email Feb 24th. Anyone get a positive reply ?

Hey Faloconflier,

Those dates don't add up!?!? You got turned down before you even showed up?? Never heard of that happening before or did I not understand your post correctly? Can you offer more details, if you don't mind.

OH, by the way (meant to put this in before) if anyone missed it, they're looking for a GIV Instructor Pilot. Listed under National Air Service, but it's the same company. Good Luck to anyone that qualifies because it sure looks like a good package!!!

No problem, JoeCo. I wasn't exactly clear. After having sent 2 completed updates over a 6 week period of the employment application package that was emailed to me, I received a voicemail on my cell on Jan 20 from a NJME captain saying to wait for yet another application that would be sent to me requiring a picture to be included as an attachment, and TO EXPECT an interview to be held end of March in Paris. I received the rejection email/form letter on Feb 24th. Hope that's a bit more clear.

Yes....I received the same "can you come for interview?", followed by the NO due to "administrative" reasons we will put you on hold for future consideration.
Oh - I am not a pilot, but a Flight Attendant......have heard there is a slight problem with work visa's being issued.

Perhaps that is just the rumour but the less then calm political situation does make that a seem fairly understandable.

Gentlemen,

It's business as usual at NAS / NJME. That means getting paid loadsamoney to sit round the pool and go to the gym and fly approx 20-50 hrs on your 35 on then go home for 31 off to recover. Dream job.

Some Management pilots and senior admin staff were relocated to LIS after 9/11 at the request of EJI Management. They are on EJI contracts, not Saudi NAS contracts.

Interviewing for Flight attendants this week .

DaisyDaze

Just read your post. Yes, correct what you've been told. The Co. is having trouble getting visas for British and Irish F/A's. It's been going on for a few months. They only get a certain quota per year for each nationality.

Speculation about the some of the pilot rejections was that FAA certificates are no longer acceptable. Can anyone give any further info about that ?

Falconflier

For NJME you MUST have an FAA ATPL . Some people have been interviewed without one, but all co.asks is you do your FAA written before starting groundschool. Interviews are being held around 23/24 March in Paris for all 3 fleets.

Hi

Yep i got the same "Aministrative" email after receiving an invite for the Paris interview. Strange, it seems like only the US pilots got the turn down. Anyone know anything?

CRJ Dude

To update you all: The interviews were scheduled for last week of March, then postponed, then scheduled again. 90% of those selected for these interviews are US Citizens. Recommend you contact NAS HR dept asap, sat-wed,GMT +3.

Good luck !
