Well, that's it, the application form's in. I'd like to say a big thanks to all who've contributed here. If I find out anything in the interim I'll post the details.

I will be heading to INDOC 1st December if nothing changes, and i hope not.
With 2200 hours what do i expect? i could not be a captain in less than 18 months anyways so the seniority list wont affect me, but what kind of airplane? same as i will be a captain onto? red will know i am sure, things seems to have changed since i expected 2 type ratings before captain.

At times like this, I would rather expect a longhaul a/c for you. I joined earlier this year with 2700 TT and I found myself on the G5/550. We were about 20 pilots in indoc and only 3 (including me) did NOT have an upgrade in the previous company.
But, I guess, as well, it could be a 400 too.

I will see, if anyone else has any info or consideration on current policy of fleet assigment i would love to hear, even in PM not to bother the others on this post if not interested.

The best way to have even a chance of an interview is get recommended by a current NJE pilot.
As Redsnail says there's gonna be a lot of very experienced guys milling around from Zoom XL and possibly Alitalia.
Recommendations go a long way as someone who knows the score is prepared to put their reputation on the line saying that Mr/Ms X Y and Z will FIT IN and the FITTING IN is probably way more important than how many hours/experience you have.
If you know an NJE pilot buy them a pint and get them to put your CV on the desk.
If you dont know an NJE pilot, then get to know one and but them a couple of pints.
Good luck your gonna love it.

At my interview there were 2 ex military and 2 Commercial pilots, myself and a guy from Big Airways.
Not sure about the other 3 but one of the commercial guys got hired
Oh, and BTW I didnt know anybody inside NJE. I guess it comes down to having the right experience on your C.V and your mindset. The line of questioning at the interview makes it very obvious the kind of people who they seek. If 'ring ops' is the answer to most of their questions its probably the wrong answer.
Good luck

"Is it truth that they prefer ex-military pilots than pilots from big companies"
No, it may seem like that but the reality of the matter is that in the past there have been more applicants from the military and smaller operators than from large airlines. Given recent events, that may well change. I joined recently and it was about half and half on my Indoc.

Please define recently
1 - of late occurrence, appearance, or origin; lately happening, done, made, etc.: recent events; a recent trip.
2 - not long past: in recent years.
3 - of or belonging to a time not long past.

Pilots for 2009
Has anyone news as far as the Falcon 7X and the Hawker 4000 deliveries are concerned. This seems to be a major factor for the recruiting efforts in 2009.
