Noyade 18th October 2012 22:36

Huff-Daland LB-1 innit??
Innit indeed! :ok:
The LB-1, all Huff and no Puff, or so I've read.

Karlark 18th October 2012 23:43

Wow, was I way off with the French parasol... first look in this evening :O.

The new challenge looks familiar. Wasn't it on Aviaquiz awhile back? DH4 if I recall?

Or I think the DH-9.

SincoTC 19th October 2012 00:05

Evening Karl,

I wondered if anybody would recall seeing it! You're correct, but it wasn't a DH.4 I had a quick look for the Dauntlass Archive, but there's only the current "New" quiz online, my picture came from the web where I found the answer originally.

A bonus point for the name of the device and another for the engine type :)

SincoTC 19th October 2012 00:11

Aha, the grey cell are warming up, it is the Airco DH.9 Well done!

I'm hitting the hay now, up again at five :(

Bonus points still available if you get bored :)

You have control :ok:

Karlark 19th October 2012 00:31

It was the Birger "Ad Asrtra" silencer fitted to a D.H.9C as per an article in "fright":) archive:

Karlark 19th October 2012 12:21

Hi Graeme,
Yes indeed it's the XP-81. :ok: Your control.

Noyade 19th October 2012 23:01

Thanks Karl. Always liked the look of the XP-81. I wonder what kind of a dogfighter it would have made? Probably just a dog.

Sorry mate, but ImageShack has gone and died on me - duuno why, but will try again later today.

In the meantime Open house.

Cheers. :ok:

Noyade 20th October 2012 04:53

Karlark 20th October 2012 05:03

Hi Graeme!

13 & 19 looks like a wing brace for something like a Shorts SC.7 Skyvan?

Just a a wild guess.

Karlark 20th October 2012 05:34

Or perhaps an IAI Arava aircraft.

zlin77 20th October 2012 05:40

Dornier DO 24T....OH if correct, going flying.

Noyade 20th October 2012 05:45

Well, that's a quick control back to you Karl. The IAI Arava. :ok:

(May I ask what Image Host you use? ImageShack died and refuses to let me rejoin)

going flying.
Happy trails mate. :ok:
