An under-wing jet pack?
|
Puts me in mind of a Canberra. Maybe one of those aircraft used for atmospheric sampling?
|
Noyade is on target
|
SUD-OUEST SO.30 ATAR BRETAGNE, F-BAYD or F-BAYO perhaps? Just a wild guess based on the letters on the underside of the wing.
|
Not the Atar Bretagne but there is a Bretagne connection
The underwing letters are not part of a registration. |
Lloyd Aereo Columbiana Cutiss-Wright C-46 ?
|
Evansb has it. Turbomeca Pallas installed underwing for take off power boost

Thank you. That was a very good challenge. Unfortunately, I don't have anything ready approaching that quality, so it will be OPEN HOUSE.
|
Not much quality here either, but it's something to go on with...

Sukhoi Su 9, aka T43?
Open house if correct. |
The original image I used is captioned Su 11, but as far as I can tell the physical differences were at the front of the aircraft. The Su-11 was a direct development of the Su-9.
Karlark has declared OH |

Clue
The engine is a RM16SM Merlin.
