Yes Oxenos, it’s the Chipmunk in which Prince Charles learned to fly. Fitted with an additional anti-collision beacon, nicknamed the parrot, and in a high-vis red paint job. |

To my understanding Pypard was the one with turn. The prince charles was interesting, but I'd expect to see Pypards contribution coming up.

I was under the impression that I got in well ahead of anyone else (six minutes after the challenge was posted), but I don't have anything so am happy to throw it open.

Yes you were fast on the chipmunk, but Pypard was first on the Optica hence expecting his challenge.

OK let's try this and I'll make sure the first one gets it!

If I look through my old Observer's books I'll probably find it...
|
FOUND it - maybe. Centenniel 100?
|
|
Well that didn't take long! Noyade has it; or did treadigraph go super-obscure when he said, "...I'll probably FIND it"?
|
I was hinting a bit as I do indeed recall it from Observers circa '68 or 70... Kind of sad that this version didn't enjoy series production as it's quite an attractive machine - the Bush Hawk is a bit... well... Recall seeing one at Oshkosh, one of those odd types you might never see anywhere else except rugged areas north of the 49th parallel!
I'm quite happy in the back seat, if Noyade or kcockayne would like to post the next challenge! |
Thanks Pypard!
I was thinking of a Yugoslav machine until Treaders hint finally triggered for me.

Thank you, both, for thinking of me. I don't have anything to hand, so will pass up the opportunity this time. Maybe in the future when OH is called.
