No idea yet....is it British?

Kitbag 3rd Nov 2013 20:06

No, but it is European

Kitbag 4th Nov 2013 05:33

Contemporary with the Gloster Gladiator, about a third of all produced were exported.

Thanks, but....no, I'm still floundering with this one. So keep those "giveaway" clues coming mate - at your leisure of course. :)

Can I ask what task did the challenge aircraft perform?

Kitbag 4th Nov 2013 19:12

It was the primary fighter of its countrys air arm. Armament was 1 cannon and 2 rifle calibre mgs. Fixed u/c. This hasn't appeared on this thread before.

French?
Dewoitine D-510 maybe? Although I can't find one with an external exhaust pipe like yours?
I think I was fixated with biplanes, but no struts around the cockpit - so it's a monoplane?

Kitbag 4th Nov 2013 21:44

French? - Yes
Dewoitine D-510 maybe? Although I can't find one with an external exhaust pipe like yours? - I did (Good ol' Wiki!)!
