The exhausts seem to point towards the prop;so ,is it a `pusher` installation on one of those Saro flying boats,or similar...?

Kitbag 10th Mar 2013 17:26

It is indeed a pusher installation, but not a SARO type

sycamore 10th Mar 2013 21:08

Could be a Short Singapore 3...OH if correct

Kitbag 11th Mar 2013 06:45

Not the Singapore, this was a little later than the glory days of the pre war flying boat and with a very different role.

Kitbag 11th Mar 2013 17:31

LM, the evidence is irrefutable, SAAB J 21A one of the few piston engine types to be successfully modified for jet power

Lightning Mate 12th Mar 2013 13:33

Thank you Kb.

I will have to call OH I'm afraid.

MReyn24050 12th Mar 2013 14:56

Kitbag 12th Mar 2013 20:15

Fairey Albacore?

MReyn24050 12th Mar 2013 20:59

This one is not from Fairey, Kitbag.

Kitbag 12th Mar 2013 21:55

I think this is a single, radial engined naval torpedo bomber from the 1930's.
Assuming it's British.
How about the Blackburn Ripon?

MReyn24050 13th Mar 2013 13:31

Your getting there Kitbag, it is an aircraft by Blackburn but not the Ripon.

Lightning Mate 13th Mar 2013 13:56

Maybe Shark.

MReyn24050 13th Mar 2013 15:54

It is indeed the Blackburn Shark:-
