The army helicopter training field at Oakey? OH if correct.
Of course it's Oakey, there's a 'Bou and a Gonad parked at the Museum.

The same area of Oakey in 1945, lots of aircraft awaiting disposal, note the concrete hangar base at the bottom CC's photo. |
Yes, Oakey of course. From my window here chez moi I can see the British Army equivalent. Sad that a former colleague 'bought the 'farm'' in a Gonad many years ago. Good ancient photo, thanks.
To Max Tow. |
Max Tow called OH.
OH, thanks, lack of attention at breakfast time.
Breakfast seems late in the Chicken Run.
Read newspaper first.
I hope we are not going to wait all day for a new challenge.
I wonder why the change.
Looks like a few bombs missed. |
Same location. I think this might be a harder image :ok:. I'll put the other one back up at a later stage.
Allied airfield or Axis WW2 ?
Well that covers every combatant airfield in WW2 :)
Well, I have to start somewhere in the search.
I'll opt for Axis since I have more sites bookmarked for those. Interesting that there is no runway visible, so prolly grass. The fields and woods suggest Germany. |
End of runway at upper right corner? the Field in Centre of picture is to small |
Possibly an American raid.
J,imagine you refer to ex-RR,SP...?
Axis Airfield, but not Germany now.
Ramp is top right - later photos will show the runway. American Raid |
Poland or Czech Republic is my next shot.
