I do not read Central America in your post above? edit but I have to admit the border is shaded |
I'll take a punt at Piarco Airport, Trinidad.
|
Dook has it with Trinidad Piarco.
Today I learned that Trinidad and Tobago as well as the ABC islands are often regarded as South America but are also listed as Central America (in Wikipedia) |
Thank you Bear.
I regard it as Central America. OH |

You tell a Trini - (Trinidadian) that he's American (South, Central or otherwise) you're likely to get a punch on the nose. Especially during Sunday School - not what you think - more of a riotous Sunday evening party with much drinking and foolery than Church matters - ask me how I know!

Non tropical
at first sight |
Bear goes in.
Giant's binoculars deserted in the centre of the picture. Apart from that - I see nothing but Far East - maybe Japan. Asturias has laboured hard to achieve...difficulty Level 5 (of 5) And tricky it is. |

Alexandroupoli
Tricky one, snow threw it completely off but the control tower design led the search and ultimately betrayed the location. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....2d7bfd146c.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....4055783902.jpg |
Yes it's Alexandroupoli - couldn't resist it once i saw the snow picture.. I was also going to post the Turkish chopper that defected there a while back ....... over to AuxT

Thanks Asters - yep, snow was a good ploy.
Here we are then... https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....7169c5cc08.jpg |
Lot of American aircraft. Left hand drive cars with front number plates so not USA. West Europe?
|
Canada perhaps?

Maybe Montana from your reference to Big Skies? Wild guess at Missoula.

we had that earlier - I posted it - and I don't think so
Interesting hill/mountain in the distance on the challenge |
grizzled is correct; we are in Canada.

Someone wake up India42..................
|
I'm here! Just a bit slow getting up these days, while counting down the last days of my quarantine!
Left hand drive cars with front number plates so not USA. An airfield on flat land with a prominent hill in the distance. I don't know of any hills like that on the Prairies. I had a look at Abbotsford and Boundary Bay in the Fraser Delta, but those don't fit the bill. The predominantly white number plates might indicate Ontario. |

I'm confused by UV's comment. I live in Alberta, which, as far as I know, is the only jurisdiction in North America, where cars don't have front number plates. Saves the government a lot of money, but must really irritate the cops. An airfield on flat land with a prominent hill in the distance. I don't know of any hills like that on the Prairies. Nice deduction Holmes - it fits the bill. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boundary_Bay_Airport India Four Two has the yoke. |
Well, well!
I dismissed Boundary Bay because I couldn't find the yellow traffic barriers, but my inspection was too cursory! Here they are: https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....61aa06308a.png Now I'm going to have to find that hill. It must be in the US - there's a reason the airport is called Boundary Bay. Nothing to hand, so Open House. PS The hill looks like it is on the peninsula immediately south of the border, just west of Blaine. |
I think it might be either Mount Constitution or Mount Dallas over the border down near Friday Harbor.
|
As it is Open House, I'll start the weekend: link to a large image here if anyone wants to try to identity the aircraft.

are they Me-262's north or above 3 the hangers?
|
They look more like tail wheels to me rather than a tricycle layout.
After a visit by some bombers. https://a3xqfw.am.files.1drv.com/y4m...&cropmode=none |
nvubu,
Tricycle gear not necessarily required. ;) https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....f1bb0234e3.jpg I remember reading that Me262s were first identified by PRU because of the scorch marks on the grass, created by the early Schwalben. |
I think it had changed over to tricycle a fair time before these photos were taken - wiki says 5th prototype.

However I think the scorched grass tale does have a reasonable pedigree but I can't lay hands on it |
The building at the top of the two previous images can be seen in the next image - the other builds are a little obscured.

Are we in France?

Rechlin???
|
Possibly AUGSBURG Messerschmitt factory airfield.
|
dook has it with Ausburg Haunstetten - the Messerschmidt factory airfield. I'm fairly sure that the aircraft are Me 410s.
Rudolf Hess left from here for Scotland in 1941. Here's an overlay for Google Earth - click no worky - here is the full link https://www.gearthhacks.com/download...1-august-1944/ A winter photo, https://k9dgag.am.files.1drv.com/y4m...&cropmode=none |
