One car is British late 70s early 80s.

skwinty 22nd Aug 2011 14:04

Zlin Z50? .......

Lightning Mate 22nd Aug 2011 14:10

Not a Zlin.

skwinty 22nd Aug 2011 14:33

Staudacher S-300D?

No hints ?

Lightning Mate 22nd Aug 2011 14:37

I've already said it's European.

Wanna hint?

Get a one-way ticket out of Czechoslovakia guys.

I've just been looking at the Staudacher S-300D - that's an excellent effort sk.

skwinty 22nd Aug 2011 14:49

CAP 232? That's French innit?:E

Lightning Mate 22nd Aug 2011 14:51

The CAP 232 is indeed French, but it ain't that one.

Get a one-way ticket out of Czechoslovakia guys.
To where, David? Is this one of your cryptic clues and nothing to do with Czechoslovakia?

"Get a one-way ticket" - a single? Means nothing.

Lightning Mate 22nd Aug 2011 15:04

It means leave with no intention of coming back.

Just trying to tell you that it's not Czechoslovakian, despite the one next to it.

Lightning Mate 22nd Aug 2011 15:16

Look guys, I have to go home and will check in again shortly.

In the meantime, try France. ;)

...'cause I'm not the sort of person who leaves things up for a long time....

Lightning Mate 22nd Aug 2011 15:50

Isn't anyone going to take a stab at it?

skwinty 22nd Aug 2011 15:55

Long shot here, but I have nothing else.:ugh:

Dyn'Aéro CR.100

RegDep 22nd Aug 2011 16:35

We are talking about an aerobatic aircraft, aren't we?

Ridge Runner 22nd Aug 2011 16:37

Isn't the Giles a yank, HP?

Lightning Mate 22nd Aug 2011 16:39

Dyn'Aéro CR.100
Sadly not sk.

Yes Reg, you are looking at a dedicated French aerobatic aeroplane.

I'm not sure what clue to give next.................

The aeroplane was photographed at South Cerney, UK, where I did my basic officer training btw, in 1987.

Just thought of a good clue......

RegDep 22nd Aug 2011 16:44

That would make it Pena Capena

HappyPass 22nd Aug 2011 16:44

A Pena Capena  (whatever that is...)

quadruple sourpile with cheese on top and double whipped cream! :}

Edit: disregard

Ridge Runner 22nd Aug 2011 16:46

http://images2.jetphotos.net/img/2/6...9165606_tb.jpg I guess so! RR ;)

Lightning Mate 22nd Aug 2011 16:50

No.

RegDep 22nd Aug 2011 16:50

Mate, exposing my complete ignorance: What are these metal wire things in the wing-tip?
