Lightning Mate 10th Jun 2012 11:56

We'll carry on mate - it was just an update call. :ok:

Noyade 10th Jun 2012 11:57

OK.

A German giant of WWI?

Lightning Mate 10th Jun 2012 12:05

Yet another Brit.

Noyade 10th Jun 2012 12:05

Two very large exhaust stacks?
The biplane tail has three castor wheels?

Lightning Mate 10th Jun 2012 12:10

Two big exhaust stacks yes.

Three engines in it's original form.

Three skids under the lower tailplane elevator.

Noyade 10th Jun 2012 12:13

Well done mate, Mr Grahame-White strikes again. :)

Grahame-White E.IV Ganymede

Lightning Mate 10th Jun 2012 12:15

That will be the one. :ok:

I note the progress on the "challenge" thread. The Hiller was easy - I found it some time ago.

Back to you.

Noyade 10th Jun 2012 12:25

(Not a Hiller mate. :))

Another biplane...

Ruskie with a long name.

Noyade 10th Jun 2012 12:56

Power was supplied by a 80-110 hp Le Rhone engine.

Noyade 10th Jun 2012 12:59

Heading to bed mate. Usual rules apply and you will find this photo with the extraordinary long name on the net. Cheers. :ok:

Good Evening LM, I think it could be a Tellier Flying Boat ?

Lightning Mate 11th Jun 2012 20:32

....and a very good evening to you irishair.

Unfortunately not a Tellier - wrong part of the world.

Noyade 12th Jun 2012 05:44

Thanks for the Champagne mate. :ok:

Its 1530 hrs here and around 45 mins ago I drilled a 4mm hole through a hot water pipe. Thought I'd have a look at SC while the plumber repairs it.

Is this a French/American collaboration for the USCG?...

Julie is very unhappy with me, and I've got some serious cleaning up to do this afternoon/evening. :(

Best I make it open house if correct. Cheers.
