A slip/floating wing machine, David?

Lightning Mate 25th Apr 2012 10:22

No Martin.....

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 10:45

OK. The propshaft looks a little flimsy! Did it fly? Rubber-powered?

Lightning Mate 25th Apr 2012 10:46

No mate - motorcycle engine - and two flew. :)

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 10:51

Avro 558????

Lightning Mate 25th Apr 2012 10:58

That will do nicely. :ok:

Over to you mate.

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 11:02

Ta, mate. Here's one ....

Looks fast - a racer?

Appears retractable gear but I can only see a gear cover on the left wheel and not the right.

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 11:46

Sorry, I missed a bit of shading... nothing asymetric about it! Not a racer

Lightning Mate 25th Apr 2012 11:49

A fighter then?

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 11:50

Nope! I have to say that I've discovered that it has already been on SC! :( I'll keep it on, though as it was a fair while ago! RR

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 12:02

Clue: 360hp donk upfront

Usual rules apply as I'm off to lunch now... RR

Lightning Mate 25th Apr 2012 12:07

A radial I assume.

If it's an M-14P engine, then it could have been the Bear 360, but the fin is taller on that.

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 12:13

Yes, a radial. Not the Bear 360. RR See you in an hour... RR

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 13:40

A clincher - the engine is an AI-14P

Lightning Mate 25th Apr 2012 14:24

Would you be interested in the MAI Kvant...?

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 14:41

That's the jobby... You have control, David

Lightning Mate 25th Apr 2012 14:52

Thanks Martin - a good one.

I had been through all the Russian radials but it took some time to find the aeroplane.

A bipe for a change.....

Ridge Runner 25th Apr 2012 15:07

An Anzani engine?
European?

Lightning Mate 25th Apr 2012 15:22

Northern European.

Can't reveal the engine because it was made by the manufacturer, which would lead you straight to it. :uhoh:

Going home now so light off for a wee while.
