Morning Reg. Not a Stearman.
|
Morning.

New Standard D-29....?
|
Not a Commandaire Graeme. A little newer....early 1930's design.
|
New Standard D-29....? |
And if it wasn't for that tail...
Spartan C3-225? Meyers OTW? Lincoln PT-K? :) |
31?............
|
The book stops at 29 mate! As you are just about there, it's the New Standard D-33 (incorrectly listed as the D-32 in Aerofiles) http://i551.photobucket.com/albums/i...r/fd88eee7.jpg You have control:ok: |
Well, I then went to Aerofiles and saw "31" and "32", so went with the first. Process of elimination. :ok:
Thanks mate, but it'll have to be Open House.... |
|
|
Graeme, does your source call this a shoulder-wing or high-wing?
Light transport? |
Are you looking at Aerofiles? Excellent.
I'd call it a shoulder wing? "ChwM" "rare transport" |
Wiki says high-wing and utility transport - 9 passengers....
|
Looking closer at the photo I can see American Airways on the fuselage.
Also used by the USAAF. |
John Wayne used the name of this aircraft 23 times in the film...
