Yes, that might have been better; I think I probably had the word "Heimat" in mind.

brakedwell 14th May 2009 16:26

TCF

brakedwell 14th May 2009 18:16

Sorry TCF, not Hullavington.

sycamore 14th May 2009 20:41

brakedwell 14th May 2009 20:55

Seriously, Edwards AFB

Old Bald Pilot 15th May 2009 13:06

Surprisingly Pinewood is more accurate!

Flap40 15th May 2009 14:11

Is it RAF Gutersloh, now Princess Royal Barracks?

DH

Background Noise 16th May 2009 13:45

Ah - the old Mess! What's the secretive white rectangle hiding?

evansb 16th May 2009 15:06

DH is correct.:ok: RAF Gutersloh, Germany. White rectangle is a highway route marker Over to you.

Double Hydco 17th May 2009 09:39

Thanks evansb. I was stationed there in the late eighties, and thought it looked familiar!

A great place in those days to see helicopters, many NATO fast jets, transports and airliners mixing it in the circuit.....happy days!

Open house as I'm working overseas this weekend.....

DH
