Which Aerodrome Mk II

Welcome to the MK II stage of the "Which Aerodrome ?" thread originated by seacue. I understand that "Which Aerodrome? MK I" has became too large and unwieldy a file and had to be "ppruned". MK II is a continuation of MK I and will continue as it's predecessor did.

A list of all identified aerodromes from MK I is posted at the sticky "What Cockpit and What Aerodrome latest Lists". Future Aerodromes posted in What Aerodrome MkII will be added to the current list

Anyone needing to refer to "Which Aerodrome MK I" will find it in it's place of honored retirement here: http://www.pprune.org/aviation-histo...drome-290.html

This is current challenge posted by brakedwell:-

KK & XV 277 - Not Rayak or Rashid, but you are in the right region.

Shaibah, Iraq? It has a hangar similar to that and at one time the airfield was outside the base, hence the wall and gate

Sorry, I think you closed it whilst I was typing my guess. Or perhaps I just wasn't paying attention?

Anyway, what about RAF Khormaksar Aden?

OK, BD - I'll open the bidding at Macrihanish. The topography and colour make me think of Scotland, and I am deliberately ignoring the Mystere?? as I think that is the googlie...

I am afraid everyone is wrong, apart from identifying the aircraft as a Mystere!
