A 140 or a 120? I'm just a caption guy mate, but they can certainly be wrong. Here's the caption that went with the photo... http://i40.tinypic.com/ip9veg.jpg |
The 120 had no side windows in the back I believe and we can see part of one in the pic. That was my clue.

Hey!
Someone has stolen the thrust levers, flaps and elevator trim wheel thingies. Better be careful or the wings will be gone next. Lucky there is that big handbrake lever to keep the brakes on, or the whole thing might have been towed away. :E |
Sikorsky S-64 Sky Crane ?
|
Hmmm, looks like Sikorsky but I'll vote for a CH3 rather than the Sky Crane...
|
Further work:
It's not the CH3 variant but an S61, the civil version, I think... |
I am picky but you guys got it. It is a HH3 but to be precise it is a S-61R, one of the only 3 civilian version ever built.

Many thanks... A smart looking machine.
I'm out until late, so can't put anything up until tomorrow morning (UK time). I'll say 'open house' and will step in if there's nothing fresh tomorrow. |
