Thank you Terence. What a way to fly!

The Wilson Explorer with twin engines?

aviate1138 9th Aug 2012 22:04

That is Avid's Mr Wilson's Private Explorer or Jeremy Clarkson's favourite caravan?

Beaten by one minute - still the Aussie's have got to win something...... :)

evansb 9th Aug 2012 22:13

It is not the amphibious piston twin. Try again. You chaps make it difficult to award a winner..

:(.........

evansb 10th Aug 2012 01:21

Okay, it is a Private Explorer, but the single engine turbine amphibian version.
I'll give Noyade control.

I'll give Noyade control.
Well I'm not sure why mate? It was aviate1138 that mentioned the Private Explorer.

(Must be like the Tardis - bigger on the inside?)

Want control Mr Aviate? :)

I assumed you were talking about the Olympics. :)

Noyade 10th Aug 2012 12:48

Yes Mr Noyade I was and you got to the Explorer before me anyway and I have nothing to offer and you and Mel and evansb and sabredog and a few more are in a league of your own. I get the rare opportunity and the Olympics jest was because I have a mate in Sydney who bent my ear before the games and suggested we Brits would be eclipsed by so many Southern teams that we would be lucky to get into Gold double figures. You were the only Antipodean target in view. No offence intended. :)

G'day mate. Fair enough and no offence taken whatsoever. Yes, there were all sorts of medal tally count predictions here - typical media hype - and now the 'blamestorming', head-rolling, inquiries will begin.
Of far more interest to me is the scenery. My eyes tended to focus on your countryside and historic buildings (except in the Women's Beach Volleyball). Simply beautiful looking country. Particularly loved the areas where the bicycle road races were held. It isn't all smoke and mirrors, is it? The rest of the country looks just as good? Be proud.

Have another look above mate. The "unsung hero" of the Battle of Britain.

Cheers.

Hawker Hurricane is a possibility?

Noyade 10th Aug 2012 22:56

Sure is. Hawker Hurricane I. Your control. :ok:

aviate1138 11th Aug 2012 05:44

Thanks N.

It has to be Open House.

Cheers......
