Sorry.
Mock-up shots. Two prototypes built (Wiki) but the front framing was slightly different. This will clinch it... http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/4314/oiuf.jpg |
I think the mock-up guys were smoking pot when making the middle shot, but the throttle count is correct...
(...and top photo at right...look at the large engine nacelle....) |
|
Well I'm sure the answer to this must be obvious, but I'm missing it completely. 4 jets, 2 per "pod" I presume...so similar era to the B-45/XB-46? Covered all the B- and XB- sequence and can't see anything there:ugh:

Curtis-Wright XF-87 Blackhawk...OH ,if correct
|
Curtis-Wright XF-87 Blackhawk Sycamore has requested open house. |
Here is the next mystery cockpit:

I'm underwhelmed by the response. Powered by a Lycoming O-320. Early versions crashed during spin training, resulting in a mod.

Is it a Thurston Teal?
|
Sorry, not a Thurston Teal.
|
How about the Aerotec T-23A Uirapuru ??
|
sincoTC is spot on:ok: The cockpit of a former Brazilian Air Force T-23A Uirapuru (Wren) was pictured. Your turn.

Thank you, I wouldn't have come anywhere near without the spinning clue!!

American......?
|
Not American!
This was the only photo I could find that didn't show a very obvious feature that would be a certain giveaway! |
The "feature" I mention, gives this civil aircraft's cockpit a rather military look!

The "feature" I mention, gives this civil aircraft's cockpit a rather military look! Is the "feature" the navigator's position? http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/517/104wk.jpg |
Is the "feature" the navigator's position? Noyade has control :ok: |
