I think the mock-up guys were smoking pot when making the middle shot, but the throttle count is correct...

(...and top photo at right...look at the large engine nacelle....)

Well I'm sure the answer to this must be obvious, but I'm missing it completely. 4 jets, 2 per "pod" I presume...so similar era to the B-45/XB-46? Covered all the B- and XB- sequence and can't see anything there:ugh:

This was the only photo I could find that didn't show a very obvious feature that would be a certain giveaway!

The "feature" I mention, gives this civil aircraft's cockpit a rather military look!

I think the penny dropped. Tupolev Tu-104...?

Is the "feature" the navigator's position?
