Which Aerodrome Mk IV
Been on the road for the last 48 hours.
No one has asked any questions or tried to cut down the area Bear - they could have asked if it was in the Confederacy for example or when the extension work was done.
Sifty is getting pretty close

it's NOT in NH by the way - but a lot closer than Iowa
Neither the town nor the airfield is named after a European Capital - I can't find out who the town is named after but the airfield has the same name as a scientist
It snows a lot in winter

Thanks Asturias,
1 runway direction says more than 100 pine trees.
And can you tell me if they are on track to finish that runway extension by the end of this month?

"1 runway direction says more than 100 pine trees." - which is why I don't post them straight away!
As to the extension opening - the rain (which has been going on for days) may affect the opening at month end - but I believe the float plane fly-in down at the lake is still on for Thursday!!
Since you've clearly got it so please formally name it as a reward for all those C 172's

French-speaking country?
Are we in Haute Marne?
The hangars on the south side now host the D-Day wings museum.
That museum was a bit disappointing to me but interesting for my daughter (16 yr)
The military part on the south is now repurposed for various civilian businesses and renamed
quartier Koenig after the French Marshal.
Best feature in this quartier is Restaurant Nonno.
Which is housed in the building with the American wings.

Welcome to the thread. We normally wait with posting new challenges until Open House (OH) is declared by the previous winner or if you have solved the previous challenge yourselves as first one and you have been declared winner by the previous poster.
I believe OAUQUKGF has solved your challenge and then I propose that Siftydog takes the lead.

I’d better hand over to OAUQUKGF as I’ve nothing handy to post just now. That charcuterie and cheese platter is the most exciting thing I’ve seen today btw!
