Which Aerodrome Mk IV
Ombinda is rapidly becoming our shooting star.
Baker Island it is.
The photo of the Loran station is of about 1946. The radial net on the ground is interesting. My father has been a radio-amateur and he explained me once that you need a good earth grounding base below your antenna. I think to provide more contrast for the broadcasted deviating signal? Anyway my father was jealous of his neighbor who had his antenna on a floating tripod of his backyard pond.

N America?
Thanks Ombinda.
LSMI, former Swiss Air Force Base located near the famous town of Interlaken, Switzerland. Was mainly used for heavy maintenance on DH Vampire, DH Venom, Hawker Hunter and Northrop F-5E/F. Picture shows the old taxiway looking south-west. The runway is at the R/H side.
Open House, please!

Well, you might be tempted to speculate that it is a Maternity Home with an adjacent platform for the Storks' Nest (But it isn't).
