Which Aerodrome Mk IV
I knew this was obscure but I'm astonished how long it's managed to run.................
And we STILL don 't have the right fruit!!!!!
I'd suggest looking carefully at the list of States
This may help

After looking at those red cliffs, are pineapples the right fruit?
More specifically, pineapples on Oahu?
Waimea-Kohala Airport (MUE)?

Scheduled flights provided by one airline, several flights a day in summer but in small aircraft. Connects to a couple of major airports

PRAISE THE LORD !
We've finally got the Fruit

and the State

But not the correct airport
remember "This place was once a major supplier of certain crops but it all seems to have disappeared"

Not either - and a lot smaller than KONA - which bills itself as an international airport -this place certainly isn't

I knew the moment I posted any rocks I42 would get the area....................
I'd hoped you'd guess N Ireland or W Scotland..........................
I'm off out so I declare Chevron the winner with Lana'i -
From Wiki - the sixth-largest of the Hawaiian Islands and the smallest publicly accessible inhabited island in the chain. It is colloquially known as the Pineapple Island because of its past as an island-wide pineappleplantation. The island's only settlement of note is the small town of Lanai City. As of 2012, the island is 98% owned by Larry Ellison, co-founder and chairman of Oracle Corporation;] the remaining 2% is owned by the state of Hawaii or its privately owned homes.
Now several tourist resorts provide most of the work.

Europe perhaps?
I think I detect a significant slope to that runway although not as steep as Courcheval; now there's another altiport they use for one stage of the 'Vuelta' somewhere in Spain but I don't know its name.

Yes it does have a slope but I think the angle of the picture exagerates it a bit. I know the one in spain in fact I think it appeared on this thread a while ago. I can't remember the name of it either. It is not that one. It would not qualify as an altiport but there are terrain considerations.
