The prototype is illustrated above - thinking Cowes.
The designer once held a world's land speed record.
After his death in a speedboat accident, the project moved to Brough, I believe. It was named after him.
Wiki says six built.
This included two built under license in Italy.

Fascinating story. It's the Saro Segrave Meteor, later to become the Blackburn Segrave designed by the racing driver Sir Henry Segrave.
