What Cockpit?
Let's keep things going.
Sawadee krap, oldpax.
Nice try but no. It is a twin, but much bigger than a P-38.

OK - Open House!
it was the concept for the XR-12 airliner, based on the Republic XF-12 Rainbow:
The XF-12 had 4 engines and could cruise at 400 mph at 40000ft for 4,000 miles. Hence 'flying on all fours'!

Nasty looking device - I can't believe how antiquiated the panel looks - I was looking at Fairey Battles Defiants via that cue. But 1950's?
Mon Dieu!
Still, a later (more, er, venomous) mark made an impression in the record books by all accounts, so it was not entirely a wasted effort.
As to which mark the panel belongs one would have to have better definition to read the turbojet gauges.

As this miraculous find suggests it appears to depict the Mk1 version of the SNCASO Trident 9000. The salient difference between this diagram and the OP's panel is the warning light stack centre-top of the panel. It would be expected that these might change when the Marborés were exhanged for Vipers, so on that rather tenuous basis I'll call the challenge photo a Viper-engined MkII
Edit.
Wups! No, not quite as straightforward as that - and not the Trident 9050-II. Too many changes. I hadn't spotted that the original 9000 had two versions, initially with grossly underpowered Marborés and later re-engined with licenced made Vipers.
I doubt it is possible to say which pic is which variant from the info I've found so I'll just call it a 9000Mk1.
However, it is quite clear that, as ever, BEagle had this way ahead of anyone else.

Mel,
The credits go to you as you are the first the single out a type designation. BEagle clearly knew much and sooner but as he choose not state any type, name or make, we must assume he wasn’t going for the kill and credits.
I have it as the Sud Ouest SO-9000 without any mark-up so probably before any mark-ups were being considered.
over to Mel.

OK, here's a try, let's see how long this lasts...
Why does one wheel have a cutaway and not the other? And why does the other have what seems to be an 'up' arrow on it, though one can imagine that figuring where 'up' was could be problematic in such a design...
Nonetheless it proved a capable traveller.
