G'day Brian.

Nice score with the X-3 mate. Good challenge Karl, had me hopping around and thinking it looked as big as a Fiddler.

Now, I think this really is large - The PZL-Mielec M-15 Belphegor?

The truth is out there:

Model of the Avro Canada VZ-9 Avrocar (your subject and which did work sort of) and a larger vertical rising disc aircraft intended to be a supersonic fighter.

If correct OH

Lately they've been French orientated mate.

Could this be French as well?

Is it a Hawker Hillson F.40 slip wing? Or possibly a Hawker Henley modification?
