Which Aerodrome Mk III
Liberia is a very long way from the challenge I'm afraid (and by the way we need an airfield not a country) - those sniffing in the Caribbean are much closer
Rog747 is also incorrect - this is in the tropics and no part of Florida is, sensuo stricto, tropical
Until CV19 you could fly here (occasionally) from the UK

Understand the mods have reimposed the 24 hour rule - no answers until
I can't comment for 24 hours.
See the post on What Cockpit - mods have reintroduced the 24 Hour rule to stop machine gun posting..............

We had this same discussion at the beginning of the year so I hadn’t expected to have to explain it again. This challenge has now been running for about 60+ hours so there is no reason for Asturias56 not to say yea or nay to the last two replies.
Sorry - the problem was there was confusion over Max Tow's post -hI thought he meant Liberia - the independent country in W Africa but he meant Liberia in Costa Rica - which is correctI had it as Aeropuerto Internacional Daniel Odubo Quors. Regular flight to the USA, Canada & even TUI used to fly to the UK
really nice part of the world - beaches, mountains...... Max has declared OH

as The Master said "very flet, Norfolk" so I presume we're elsewhere from your ivy covered cottage?
Can we punt on the Himalayas?

Have a poke around Asia but not to the south. Better go east from Izmir. I'll post a clue when I put the dog and myself out last thing tonight. No ivy on the house but plenty on me.

Location: Pam Ayres......
An earlier visitor to the town. Perhaps someone can give a rough date based on the aeroplane type?
The River a tributary of The Oxus borders the airfield to the East and Afghanistan from mid-stream to the West.
The "Аэ" led me to the Polikarpov R-5, so the date would be 1930s.
From the Oxus clue, I deduce this aerodrome might be in Tajikistan?

India you are spot on with Tajikistan. I'll put some images on and then perhaps you, if you're not in bed, or somebody else will locate the aerodrome.

Summer. Plenty of Honey produced in the foothills of this part of the world. Bear please note.
Incidentally the city is known for its Poplar trees that dominate the flora.
