Here is a read only link to the Aerodrome Database - WhichAerodrome.xlsx. Up to date as of 1/5/2019. Catching up slowly - up to May 2019 now (Mar 2020).
Here are some "rules" for Which Aerodrome. These are based upon the original suggestions from the very first thread, and have a few additions. Also please be patient as when you are active others may be asleep.

Luton is correct. Yes, Bedford flatbeds as baggage trucks.
A40-BG was dry-leased by Britannia from Gulf Air for 1979. An interesting aircraft, with significant differences from the normal Britannia aircraft in instruments and some systems.
Did it ever have a G- registration? My recollection is that it went back to Gulf Air at the end of the lease.

My information is that it was re-registered as G-BGFS.
On G-INFO, G-BGFS is shown as being a Westland Bell 47, the reg issued in March 1979.

A pedant he say that Oman is A4O, not A40 which all the above seem to be.
As for the aerodrome the Comet prototype is visiting, without doing any research about route proving, I'll guess it's somewhere on the South Africa route - perhaps even Jan Smuts aerodrome at Johannesburg.
ETA I've remembered that it was the second prototype that BOAC used for route proving, not the first so that's 6002

My jet had four underwing hardpoints (and a large one on the centreline) and it only had a 28ft wingspan.
I don't think establishing your jet is going to help, but
is intriguing.
It does not appear to be a large airport and the runway doesn't appear to be very long.
Caribbean maybe.
