Your post didn't mention McMurdo when I replied to it, but I see that it does now. I hadn't been back to re-read it before.
It is Williams Field at McMurdo - so dook has it.
The Red containers are called Plateau Station Vans and were used at Plateau Station between 1966 and 1969 - and were left there when the station was mothballed.

In the same building as the bachelor school of aircraft building.
