Am back and thought, Eindhoven. Long time ago a visit to Phillips Flt Dept. If I'm still wrong, then what the heck, I'm still learning and this is fun.

Could it be Laarbruch? There are some resemblances...however the clue you provided could let think about Bâle-Mulhouse...

Yes Maastricht-Aachen. Originally Beek, then Zuid Limberg then plain Maastricht before the marketing tie in with Aachen over the border.

I'd looked at Maastricht a couple of times, but thought it was too far from Eindhoven (in terms of the size of Holland) to be a near miss

Thanks nvubu and it is Open House....
Flew a 3 axis micro [CFM Shadow] in Slovakia in 1996 and local Air Traffic made us fly Below 300 metres to avoid the Mig 29s cavorting about!
