Which Aerodrome Mk III
This one is a bit unusual. I found it on a website run by some Vietnam vets. It is labelled as Hanoi, which it obviously isn't. I won't mention the website to avoid embarassing them - they should have known better.

Can anyone identify the city?
Wearing my geologist's hat, I think that is a lake on the right.

Not Leeming or Cranwell. As the photo was taken in 1938 the gent in the jackboots could be a visiting member of the master race!
Apparently no trace of the airfield remains (and certainly I could see nothing on Google Earth but I may not have been looking in the right place) but the site is now occupied by a prison.

None of the answers so far are correct.
Now I didn't realise that RAF stations had code names but this one's was 'Bluebell'. (It says so on the internet so it must be right).
