Anyway, is it the Legrand-simon LS.60 mate?
That's the one Graeme Interesting history having been designed as a submission for a French light aircraft competition for the local flying clubs. However there was insufficient funding and only the one aircraft was produced. It actually was mentioned in relation to a challenge on the original SC forum!

Here it is the right way round


The one example remains current on the French register.

Google Mercedes SLS convertible AMG
Impressive and quite "retro" in some respects. My favourite will always be the R129 models - obviously not as quick as the AMG but very stylish.

I found another one today

Looks to be quite a wing span there although it may be the camera angle. A European design David?

That's the one (aka the HP-S) - an unsuccessful attempt to produce a fighter for the US Navy. Thought it seemed appropiate after David's challenge
